Health Card for Site

The Health card on the site dashboard is a graphical display of the aggregate health status of the site. This card consists of the top N issues present in the site and its corresponding number of devices and clients where the issue is present. The values that are displayed on the Health card for device and client are also displayed on the Network and Clients on the site context.

If the vSphere extension is installed, the Health card includes a Compute health section for virtual machines and hosts on the site. The values displayed on the Health card for compute are also displayed on the compute context in the site context. For more information, see vSphere Integration.

The icons used to indicate the health are described in the following table.

Icon Type

Description

This icon indicates that health is good and there are no issues in the connection for the device or client. The value corresponding to this icon indicates the number of devices present in this status.

This icon indicates that health is fair and there are minor issues in the connection for devices or clients. The value corresponding to this icon indicates the number of devices or clients present in this status.

This icon indicates that health is poor and there are critical issues in the connection for devices or clients. The value corresponding to this icon indicates the number of devices present in this status.

This icon indicates that the client is offline. The value corresponding to the icon indicates the number of clients that are offline.

Grey icon is used to indicate offline clients.

The utilities available on the Health card are described in the following table.

  • The device health is available for APs, switches, gateways, and bridges.

  • The client experience is available for the wireless, wired, and remote clients.

  • The compute health section is available for virtual machines and hosts (if the vSphere extension is installed).

Click the required name to navigate to the devices list page.

Click the required number in a particular status to navigate to the devices list page. The selected status is applied as filter and only the corresponding devices are displayed.

Alerts

Click the required alert to navigate to the Alerts list page. The selected status is applied as a filter and only the corresponding alerts are displayed.

For example, if you click an alert related to interface, then Alerts list is filtered to display only the corresponding interface alerts .

If there are no devices, clients, virtual machines, or hosts assigned to a site, then the There are no devices in the site message is displayed on the Health card.

Note:

  • The data on the Health card is updated in approximately 2 minutes after a change in the health status. For example, consider a device goes offline at 09:00 hours, its status is updated on the Health card by 09:02 hours. This time is required for processing the aggregated data.

  • When wired clients dynamically move in and out of networks managed by HPE Aruba Networking Centralthe client count displayed on the site dashboard and trend chart may temporarily differ. The values automatically synchronize and display the correct count after a short period.
