Routing

The routing card displays the details and status of the OSPF and BGP neighbors. The supported status values are up and down.

Note:

The Routing card is displayed only for AOS-CX switches.

To view additional details of the OSPF and BGP neighbors, click the expand icon. The Routing page displays information about the OSPF and BGP neighbors.

OSPF Tab

You can filter the overlay network from the Filter Overall Network drop-down. Based on the overlay network selection, the Local Router Address is displayed. The Local Router Address refers to the router-id (IP address) assigned to the router itself within the local network.

By default, the filter selection is All. In this case, the local router address of the default VRF is displayed based on the OSPF instance configuration on the default VRF. The neighbor table gets updated based on the VRF selected from the Filter Overall Network drop-down.

BGP Tab

For BGP neighbors, along with the Local Router Address, the Local AS is displayed. The Local AS refers to the Local Autonomous System Number, which is assigned to the router participating in the BGP. It identifies the router's AS within a network and is used for routing decisions.

You can also filter the based on Address Family and Status.

The following table lists the Routing card parameters in the expanded view.

Description

OSPF Neighbors

Neighbor Router Address

The IP address of the neighboring router.

Priority

Priority set for the OSPF neighbor.

Status

Status of the OSPF neighbor. Listed below are the supported values:

  • Up

  • Down

  • Connecting-Idle

  • Connecting-Init

  • Connecting-Exstart

  • Connecting-Loading

  • Connecting-Two ways

Neighbor Address

The IP address of the neighbor.

Overlay Network

Name of the overlay network.

BGP Neighbors

Neighbor Router Address

The IP address of the neighboring router.

Overlay Network

Name of the overlay network.

Address Family

The type of network protocol used as an address family, such as IPv4, IPv6, or L2VPN .

Status

Status of the OSPF neighbor. Listed below are the supported values:

  • Up

  • Down

  • Connecting-Idle

  • Connecting-Connect

  • Connecting-Active

  • Connecting-Open sent

  • Connecting-Open confirm

Uptime

Duration for which the neighbor has been operational.

Remote AS

The Autonomous system (AS) number that identifies the neighbor.

To customize the columns in the list, click the customize columns icon. Select or clear the columns in the list and click Apply.

To filter the details in the table, click the filter icon.
