Tunnels

The Tunnels card displays the number of VXLAN tunnels along with their status for each of the tunnel encapsulations.

Note:

The Tunnels card is displayed only for AOS-CX switches and GRE tunnels are not supported.

The following table lists the tunnel card information.

Parameter

Description

Indicates that the VXLAN status is up

Indicates that the VXLAN status is down.

To view additional details of the tunnels, click the expand icon. The page displays information about the tunnels available for transferring data.

You can select the any of the following tabs from the Status and Encapsulation filters:

  • Status—Any, Up, and Down

  • Encapsulation— VXLAN

The following table lists the Tunnel card parameters in the expanded view.

Parameter

Description

Destination Device

Name of the destination device.

Destination Address

IPv4 address of the destination device.

Status

Status of the tunnel. The supported values are Up and Down.

Encapsulation

Encapsulation associated with the tunnel. The supported value is VXLAN.

Type

Type of encapsulation. The supported values for VXLAN are Static and EVPN.

VNIs

Number of VXLAN Network Identifiers (VNI) encapsulated in the tunnel. This field displays a value only for VXLAN encapsulation.

To view more details related to that VNI, click a value in the VNIs column. The VNIs page is displayed with the following information (see VNIs - Details):

  • Identifier—Unique ID of the VNI associated with the tunnel.

  • Status—Status of the VNI. Supported values are Up and Down.

  • Type—Network layer where the tunnel is present. Supported values are Layer 2 and Layer 3.

  • VLAN—VLAN ID and name associated with the VNI.

  • Overlay Network—Name of the overlay network associated with the VNI.

Source Address

IPv4 address of the source device.
