Subscription Keys

The Subscription Keys page details about the distribution and status of subscription keys, including subscriptions distribution for each device type. It also provides information about the expiration of subscription keys.

On click a subscription category (such as Foundation, Advanced, or Other) in the Subscription card, the Subscription Keys page opens. If you access the page through the Subscription card, a default filter is automatically applied based on the selected license category.

Alternately, you can access the Subscription Keys page by clicking Manage on the Menu > Subscription Keys card.

In the Distribution section, the Keys tab is selected by default. This tab displays the subscription key distribution for switches, access points, and gateway devices in the form of donut charts. When you hover over any donut chart, it displays the number of active, about to expire, or expired keys for that device in a color-coded format. The center of a donut chart indicates the total number of keys assigned to that device type.

In the Distribution section, the Subscription tab displays the subscription distribution for switches, access points, and gateway devices in the form of donut charts. When you hover over any donut chart, it displays the number of active, about to expire, or expired subscriptions for that device type in a color-coded format. The center of a donut chart indicates the total number of subscriptions assigned to that device type.

The legends in the Distribution section indicate the following:

  • Recently Expired—Total number of keys or subscriptions that have recently expired. A subscription is termed as Recently Expired if the subscription key has expired within 30 days.

  • About To Expire—Total number of keys or licenses that are about to expire. A license is termed as About To Expire if its expiration date is less than 90 days.

  • Active—Total number of keys or licenses that are active. A license is termed as Active if its expiration date is more than 90 days.

  • Expired +90 Days—Total number of keys or subscriptions that have been expired for more than 90 days.

Column

Description

Key

Displays the name of the subscription key.

Tier

Displays the name of the license.

Tier Type

Displays the type of license.

Device Type

Displays the type of device to which the license and key are assigned.

Subscriptions

Displays the total number of subscribed and unsubscribed licenses. When you hover over bar chart, it indicates the number of subscribed and unsubscribed licenses in a color-coded format.

Subscribed Tenants

Displays the number of MSP managed tenant accounts using the subscribed devices.

Expiration Date

Displays the expiration date of the subscription key.

Status

Displays the subscription status of the subscription key.

Table Filters and Search Bar

In the Subscription Keys page, you can filter keys from the Keys table depending on your criteria. You can enter keywords in the search bar to find a specific key from the Keys table. Additionally, you can use the quick filters to filter devices as per Recently Expired, About To Expire, Active, and Expired +90 Days type, or any combination of the options.

In the Subscription Keys page, click the filter icon to view the Filters pop-up window that allows you to filter keys based on the selected device type and tier type. To filter keys based on Device Type, you can set the filter criteria to Gateway, Switch, Other, and Access Point, and then click Apply. To filter keys based on Tier Type, you can set the filter criteria to Advanced, Other, and Foundation, and then click Apply.

To remove the filters from the Filters pop-up window, click Clear and then click Apply. Additionally, you can click Clear Filters in the Subscription Keys page to remove the filters.

Table Utilities

You can sort, configure the visibility, or adjust the width of the columns displayed in the table, as required.

  • To sort a column either in ascending or descending order in the table, complete the following steps:

    1. Click the column name that you want to sort.

      Note:

      Sorting is applicable only to Expiration Date column.

    2. Perform either of the following:

      • To sort in ascending order, click the up arrow icon.

      • To sort in descending order, click the down arrow icon.

  • To adjust the width of the columns, complete the following steps:

    1. Hover over the left or right edge of the column that you want to adjust.

      You can identify the edge of the column when the mouse pointer changes to the adjust icon.

    2. Click and drag the edge to adjust the width of the column.

    3. You can click Reset Column Sizes in the Actions menu to reset the column widths.

  • The Table Menu icon allows you to configure the visibility of the columns. To configure the visibility of the columns, complete the following steps:

    1. Click the table menu icon.

      The Actions menu is displayed.

    2. Click Customize Columns.

      The Customize Columns pop-up window is displayed.

    3. Complete either or both of the following steps as required:

      • Select the column names to enable or disable the visibility of that column in the table.

      • Click and hold the action icon next to the column you want to move, and drag it to a new position.

      You can click Reset to Defaults to clear your column visibility settings.

    4. Click Apply.

      The adjusted columns are displayed in the table.
