Creating a Named MPSK

A Named MPSK Store is automatically created in the Identity Management after an authentication profile with MPSK the authentication type is configured.

To create a named MPSK, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the Menu icon.

  2. Click Manage in the Central NAC card.

    The NAC Monitoring page is displayed.

  3. Click the Configuration icon.

    The configuration view appears, which displays the Authentication Profiles, Authorization Policies, Identity Management, Visitors, and Messaging cards.

  4. In the Identity Management card, click Manage.

    The Identity Management table is displayed which lists the Name, Provider, Authentication Profiles, and Authorization Policies of the identity stores.

  5. Click the row of the authentication profile created with MPSK SSID.

    The Edit Identity Store panel is displayed.

  6. Navigate to the Named MPSK section and click Add.

    The Create MPSK form appears.

  7. Configure the following parameters:

    • Name—Enter an MPSK name in the UPN format (username@domain.com).

    • Role—Select a role to be assigned to the authenticated client.

    • Enabled—This is enabled by default.

    • Expiration Date—Set an expiration date for the pre-shared key to be disabled. This is optional.

  8. Click Save.

    The Named MPSK is created and is listed under the Named MPSK section.

Editing a Named MPSK

To modify an existing named MPSK, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Named MPSK table, click the ellipsis icon and choose Edit.

    The Edit MPSK panel appears.

  2. You can modify the Name, Role, and uncheck the Enabled status. You can also modify the Expiration Date.

    Note:

    The expiration date cannot be set to a past date. It must be the current date or a future date.

  3. Click Save.

    The changes are updated and displayed in the Named MPSK table.

Actions

For a Named MPSK Store, you can perform the following actions:

  1. From the Actions drop-down list, select Import from CSV option.

  2. Select a CSV file and click Upload.

    After the file is uploaded successfully, a message, File Upload Completed is displayed and the records are listed in the Named MPSK table. You can also download the CSV template. The template file provides a sample format of the MPSK template file.

    Note:
    • If the CSV file contains invalid MPSK records, the file upload fails and a failure message is displayed with a link to the error report. Click Download Report to view the error report.

    • Ensure that the CSV file size does not exceed 5 MB. If the file size exceeds the limit, an error message appears.

    • Only one bulk operation (export and import combined) is allowed at a time. If you try to start a bulk operation (export or import) during an ongoing operation (export or import), a message is displayed indicating the same.

  3. From the Actions drop-down list, select Export to CSV option to export a named MPSK store file.

    After the file is exported, the message, File Export Completed is displayed with the number of files exported along with a link to download the file.

  4. Click Download to save a copy of the exported MPSK store file.

  5. Click the Table menu drop-down and select Customize Columns or Reset Column Sizes.

Customizing Columns

To configure the visibility of the columns, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the table menu icon.

    The Actions menu is displayed.

  2. Click Customize Columns.

    The Customize Columns pop-up window is displayed.

  3. Complete either or both of the following steps as required:

    • Select the column names to enable or disable the visibility of that column in the table.

    • Click and hold the action icon next to the column you want to move, and drag it to a new position.

    You can click Reset to Defaults to clear your column visibility settings.

  4. Select the Expiration Date column name to add this to the Named MPSK table.

  5. Click Apply.

    The selected columns are displayed in the table.

Adjusting Column Width

To adjust the width of the columns, complete the following steps:

  1. Hover over the left or right edge of the column you want to adjust.

    You can identify the edge of the column when the mouse pointer changes to the adjust shape.

  2. Click and drag the edge to adjust the width of the column.

    You can click Reset Column Sizes in the Actions menu to reset the column widths.

Deleting a Named MPSK

To delete an existing named MPSK, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Named MPSK table, click the ellipsis icon.

  2. Click Delete from the drop-down.

    The Delete MPSK pop-up window appears.

  3. Click Delete in the pop-up window. The Named MPSK is deleted

    The changes are updated and displayed in the Named MPSK table.
