Configuring Air Pass Network ID
To configure a network ID for Air Pass, complete the following steps:

In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the
icon. The Profiles tab is displayed with the default selection of Library in the left navigation menu.

Click Global to view profiles at the Global level.

Navigate to the Wireless card and click WLAN.
The WLAN list view is displayed.

Click Create Profile.
The Create Profile side panel is displayed.

Configure the WLAN - General parameters as described in the following table.

Parameter
Description
Create as a local profile
Select this option if you want to configure this profile as local.
Name
Enter the name of the WLAN profile.
Description
Enter a brief description for the WLAN profile.
ESSID
Enter an ESSID name.
5 GHz
Select the check box to allow this band for the WLAN profile.
6 GHz
Select the check box to allow this band for the WLAN profile.
Network Configuration
Select one of the following options based on the requirement:

Most Compatible
-
Balanced
-
High Density
-
Custom
Note:The 2.4 GHz band in the WLAN configuration for Air Pass is disabled to restrict user selection.

Configure the mandatory WLAN - VLAN parameters as described in the following table.

Traffic Forwarding Mode
Select Bridge mode.
Default VLAN
Enter the default VLAN value of the WLAN profile.

Click Next.

Configure the WLAN - Security parameters as described in the following table.

Select the Enterprise security level from the following options:
Key Management
Select any one of the key management options from the drop-down list.
Authentication
Server Group
Select Central NAC as the server group from the drop-down list. The Air Pass check box option is enabled.

Click Next.

In the WLAN - Access table, retain the default role as is and click Finish.
The Air Pass network ID is created successfully.
