Creating an Identity Store

To create an identity store, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the Menu icon.

  2. In the Central NAC card, click Manage.

    The NAC Monitoring page is displayed.

  3. Click the Configuration icon.

    The configuration view appears, which displays the Authentication Profiles, Authorization Policies, Identity Management, Visitors, and Messaging cards.

  4. In the Identity Management card, click Manage.

    The Identity Store table is displayed.

  5. Click Create Identity Store.

  6. In the Create Identity Store side panel, configure the following parameters:

    • Name—Enter a name of the identity store.

    • Description—Enter description.

    • Provider—Select a corporate identity service provider or choose a Visitor identity provider.

      Note:
      • With a HPE Aruba Networking Central foundation license, users can configure only one corporate identity store. That is, only one Entra ID or Google Workspace or Okta. After configuring an identity store, all other corporate identity stores will be disabled.

      • To configure a new identity store, delete the previously created identity store.

  7. If you select any other visitor identity store, enter details for the following required fields:

    • Client ID—Enter your Application (client) ID.

    • Client Secret—Enter your secret value.

  8. Click Create.

    The identity store is created successfully.

    Note:

    A Redirect URI parameter is generated and appears in this panel only for corporate identity stores. After successful authentication, the corporate identity store redirects users and issues an access token to the redirect URI.
