Creating a Port Profile

A port profile configuration is required for clients to connect to wired ports on an access point.

To create a port profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Central NAC landing page, click the Configuration icon.

    The Profiles tab is displayed.

  2. On the Interfaces card, click Port.
    Alternatively, you can complete the following steps:

    1. On the Interfaces card, click Manage.

    2. On the Port card, click Manage.

    The Port list view is displayed.

  3. Click Create Profile.
    The Create Profile side panel is displayed.

  4. In the Port Profile side panel, configure the following parameters:

    Port Profile-General

    • Name—Enter a name of the Port profile.

    • Description—Enter a description for the Port profile.

    • Device—Select Access Point from the Device list.

    • Click Next.

    Port Profile-VLAN

    • Port Mode—Select Access.

    • Traffic Forwarding Mode—Select Bridge.

    • Access VLAN—Enter the VLAN ID for the port.

    • Click Next.

    Port Profile-Security

    • Security Level—Select Open.

    • Captive Portal Profile—Select Central NAC.

    • Access VLAN—Enter the VLAN ID for the port.

    • Click Next.

    Port Profile-Access Roles

    • Role Assignment Rules—Add rules if any.

  5. Click Finish.

    The Port Profile is created and is listed in the Profiles page.
