Editing an Authentication Profile

To edit an authentication profile, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the Menu icon.

  2. In the Central NAC card, click Manage.

    The NAC Monitoring page is displayed.

  3. Click the Configuration icon.

    The configuration view appears, which displays the Authentication Profiles, Authorization Policies, Identity Management, Visitors, and Messaging cards.

  4. In the Authentication Profiles card, click Manage.

    The authentication profiles are listed in this page.

  5. Hover over a row in the table, click the ellipsis icon, and choose Edit Profile or alternatively click the row that you want to modify.

    The Edit Profile panel is displayed.

    Note:

    Administrators can access the captive portal web page by clicking View Portal. This action opens the portal in a new browser tab.

  6. Update specific fields in the Edit Profile panel.

    Note:
    • For an MPSK profile:

      • The SSID in the Network field cannot be modified.

      • The Named MPSK store under the Identity Store is associated with the network and cannot be modified.

      • Changing the PSK format between Random Password and Passphrase applies only to new PSKs. Existing PSKs are not affected.

    • For MAC authentication profile, the MAC registration store under the Identity Store cannot be modified.

    • For an EAP Profile or MPSK profile, under User Onboarding, click Copy to clipboard icon to copy the onboarding URL. Using this URL, users can onboard clients into the network.

  7. Click Save.

    The updated profile details are displayed in the Authentication Profiles page.
