Configuring OpenRoaming

OpenRoaming is a connectivity framework that provides seamless and secure Wi-Fi access across a global network of interoperable Wi-Fi hotspots. It aims to create a seamless and secure Wi-Fi experience globally, enabling users to connect to Wi-Fi networks without requiring manual logins and passwords.

OpenRoaming establishes a federation of networks and identity providers, enabling seamless roaming between millions of Wi-Fi networks worldwide.

To configure OpenRoaming in Central NAC, ensure to do the following:

  1. Configure WLAN Profile

    Note:

    Under Authentication, ensure to select Central NAC as the Server Group and select the Air Pass check box.

  2. Configure Air Pass Providers

  3. Configure Air Pass Profile

After completing the configuration, download the IDP profile required for authentication from the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA) website, and then connect your device to the Air Pass network.
