Configuring Portal Profiles

A Portal Profile is used by an authentication profile. Using the Portal Profile card, administrators can create a portal profile to customize the web portal.

To create a portal profile, perform the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the Menu icon.

  2. In the Central NAC card, click Manage.

    The NAC Monitoring page is displayed.

  3. Click the Configuration icon.

  4. Navigate to the Portal Customization card and click Manage.

  5. Click Manage in the Portal Profiles card.

    The Portal Profiles page is displayed.

  6. Click Create to create a portal profile.

  7. In the Create Portal Profile panel, configure the following parameters:

    • Name—Enter a unique name for the portal profile. If the name already exists, an error message is displayed.

    • Description—Enter a short description.

    • Sign-in

      • Require user to accept terms—Select the checkbox if you want users to accept the terms and conditions when authenticating.

      • Select either Show terms on the sign-in page or Show terms on a separate page for displaying the terms and conditions to the user.

      • Sign-in Image—Click Select to choose an image for the Sign-in page. You can choose an image from the images list or drag and drop an image or navigate to the image location and upload the image. Ensure that the image size does exceed 5 MB.

      • Sign-in Image Link—Enter the URL to navigate to when a user clicks the sign-in image.

    • Theme—Select a theme from the drop-down to customize the presentation aspects of the web portal.

    • Overrides—Choose an override profile from the drop-down to provide custom overrides for text and messages on the web portal.

    • Custom Messages

      • SMS Messages—Click the drop-down arrow. The custom message that was set as default for Registration and Verification Code purpose is displayed in each of these drop-downs. There is also an option to manually choose an SMS message from these drop-downs.

      • Email Messages—Click the drop-down arrow. The custom message that was set as default for Registration, Verification Link, and Sponsor Approval purpose is displayed in each of these drop-downs. There is also an option to manually choose an email message from these drop-downs.

  8. Click Create.

    The portal profile is created and is listed in the Portal Profiles page.

    Portal profiles that implicitly reference a custom message through the default mechanism are now shown in the Portal Profile column.
