Themes

Administrators can customize the visual aspects of the Cloud Guest web portal, such as branding, colors, and images. Themes can be referenced by a portal profile in the Portal Customization card.

To create a theme, perform the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the Menu icon.

  2. In the Central NAC card, click Manage.

    The NAC Monitoring page is displayed.

  3. Click the Configuration icon.

  4. Navigate to the Portal Customization card and click Manage.

  5. Click Manage in the Themes card.

    The Themes page is displayed.

  6. Click Create to create a theme.

  7. In the Create Theme panel, configure the following parameters:

    • Name—Enter a unique name for the theme. If the name already exists, an error message is displayed.

    • Description—Enter a short description for the theme.

      Page

      • Page Background Color—Click the Default checkbox to pick a background color from the color picker.

      • Page Background Image—Click Select to choose a background image from the images list. Alternatively, in the Image panel, drag, or click to upload the image for the cloud guest web portal. Ensure that the image size does not exceed 5 MB.

      • Page Favicon Image—Click Select to choose an image from the images list. Alternatively, in the Image panel, drag, or click to upload the image. Ensure that the image size does not exceed 5 MB.

        Note:

        Favicon is a small icon that represents the web portal. These icons are typically displayed in the browser's tab next to the page title, in bookmarks, and sometimes in browser address bars or search engine results.

      Header

      • Show Header—Select this option to configure the header for the web portal.

      • Brand Name—Enter a name to identify the web portal.

      • Brand Image—Click Select to choose an image from the images list. Alternatively, in the Image panel, drag, or click to upload the image for the header. The image size should not exceed 5 MB.

      • Brand Link—Enter the URL of the web portal.

      • Brand Location—Choose how you want to align the header in the web portal.

      • Header Background Color—Click the Default checkbox to pick a background color from the color picker.

      Content

      • Layout—Choose a layout type on how the content should appear on the web portal.

      • Content Background Color—Click the Default checkbox to pick a background color for the content.

      • Primary Color—Click the Default checkbox to pick a color from the color picker for the primary buttons and elements.

      • Text Color—Click the Default checkbox to pick a text color from the color picker.

      • Text Alignment—Choose an alignment for the content.

      • Social Login Branding—Choose between default, light, and dark options for the appearance of the social media login options in the web portal.

      WiFi4EU—Enable this option if you want to configure the web portal for the WiFi4EU program. The WiFi4EU initiative provides free access to Wi-Fi connectivity in public spaces.

      • WiFi4EU Network Identifier—Enter the unique identifier of the WiFi4EU network.

      • WiFi4EU Language—Select a language for the WiFi4EU background image.

  8. Click Create.

    The theme is created and is listed in the Themes page.
