Third-party Network Access Devices

Central NAC supports third-party Network Access Devices (NAD) using HPE Aruba Networking Gateway as the RadSec proxy.

Note: Adding a third-party NAD is applicable only to Gateway (with any license type) and requires Central NAC subscription.

Third-party devices such as Cisco, Arista, and Juniper do not support RadSec and can connect to the authentication server only using Radius proxy. HPE Aruba Networking Gateway is used as a Radius Proxy which can terminate radius connections from third-party devices. HPE Aruba Networking Gateway takes care of allowlisting the third-party devices before forwarding the request over a RadSec channel to Central NAC.

For setting up the third-party NAD, execute these steps:

  1. Configuring Central NAC Radius Proxy

  2. Configuring WLAN

  3. Configuring Identity Stores

  4. Configuring Authentication Profiles

  5. Configuring Authorization Policy

  6. Configuring Third-party Devices
