Alerts Card

The Alerts card displays the total count of active alerts aggregated into five categories. Each category is represented with a color-coded horizontal bar indicating the proportion and severity of the alerts. In the Alerts card, you can view the following information:

  • Alert Category

    • Clients—Alerts related to end-user devices such as laptops and mobiles.

    • System—Alerts related to overall system heath, performance, and hardware or software status.

    • LAN—Alerts involving wired local area network issues.

    • WLAN—Wireless LAN related alerts such as signal issues or disconnects.

    • WAN—Alerts related to Wide Area Network, including connection drops and high latency.

    • Cluster—Alerts related to cluster operations and synchronization between nodes.

    • Routing—Alerts related to routing processes such as route flapping and protocol mismatches.

    • Security—Alerts related to security threats or policy violations.

  • Visualization

    • Color codes on bars represent different severity levels such as critical, major, and minor.

    • The length of the bar visually corresponds to the total number of alerts in each category.

    • Numerical values on the right display the exact count of alerts.

In the Alerts card you can perform the following:

  • Click the alert category to view the list of alerts within the selected category.

    Parameter

    Description

    Alerts

    Click the alert name to navigate to the Sites Reporting <Alert Name> window. For more information, see .

    Count

    Displays the number of active instances of that alert along with a horizontal bar chart with stacked categories for severity broken down by count. Hovering over the chart will cause a tooltip to appear showing the count of alerts for each severity.

    Category

    Displays the alert category.

    Sites

    Displays the count of impacted sites.

    Search Bar

    Use the Search bar to search for alerts using keywords.

    Filters icon

    To filter the alerts based on alert category, click the Filters icon, select the check box next to the device Category, and click Apply.

    To view all the alerts, click Clear Filters.

    To view the list of sites reporting the alert, click on the alert name in the Alerts table.

    Parameter

    Description

    Name

    Click the site name to navigate to the Site Dashboard. For more information on side dashboard, see Navigating to the Site Dashboard.

    Severity

    Displays the alert count against each severity. Click on the alert count to view the list of alerts in the site context.

    In the Sites Reporting <Alert Name> table you can customize the table or reset column sizes, click the icon. For more information, see Table Utilities.
