Events Card
The Events card displays aggregated event data for all the events that occurred across all sites, categories, and events. The By Site tab displays event count and top event categories for a site from multiple device types, such as gateways, switches, access points, and clients. The By Category tab displays the event count and the sites impacted for the top six categories. The By Event tab displays the occurrences and the sites impacted for the top six events across multiple device types, such as gateways, switches, access points, and clients.
The Events card and Events pop-up window display data for a selected time range (last 3 hours, last 1 day, and last 7 days). By default, data for the past three hours is displayed.
Viewing the Events Card
To view the Events card, complete the following steps:

In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the network monitoring
icon.The Events card is displayed in the Global page.

Select the By Site, By Category, or By Event tab on the Events card.

Set the time range required by clicking Last 3 hours drop-down and click the expand
icon.The Events pop-up window is displayed.

The Events pop-up window displays the following details:
Note:You can switch between different tabs from the Events pop-up window.

Viewing Sites Impacted Details
The Events card and Events pop-up window allow you to view the details of the Sites Impacted count.
To view the details of the Sites Impacted count, complete the following steps:

In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the network monitoring
icon.The Events card is displayed in the Global page.

Select the By Category or By Event tab and click on the number under the Sites Impacted column.
A pop-up window with sites reporting top event for the selected category or sites impacted for the selected event is displayed.
Note:You can also perform the same action in the Events pop-up window.

Click on the site name under the Site column.
The site page with the network and connectivity information for that particular site is displayed.
Table Utilities for Events
You can search, sort, customize the visibility, and adjust the width of the columns displayed in the table, as required.

Search bar: You can search for a particular site in the table (not case-sensitive). Type the name of the site in the search bar, and the results are displayed in the table.

Filters: You can filter the data in the table. To filter the data, complete the following steps:

Click the filter
icon. The Filters pop-up window is displayed. You can perform the following actions in the Filters window:

Search for a particular event name by typing the name of the event in the search bar. Click the radio button next to the event name to select it. Alternatively, you can click the radio button next to any event name from the list to select it.
Note:You can select single or multiple event names from the list.

Click Apply.
The filtered data is displayed in the table.
Click Clear to clear the selection. Click Cancel to exit the pop-up window.

Sort columns: You can sort the Events, Occurrences, and Sites Impacted columns displayed in the table, as required.
To sort a column either in ascending or descending order in the table, complete the following steps:

Click the column name that you want to sort.

Perform either of the following:
-
To sort in ascending order, click the up arrow
icon. -
To sort in descending order, click the down arrow
icon.

Table Menu: You can customize the table. To customize the visibility of the columns, complete the following steps:

Click the table menu
icon.The Actions menu is displayed.

Click Customize Columns.
The Customize Columns pop-up window is displayed.

Complete either or both of the following steps as required:

Select the column names to enable or disable the visibility of that column in the table.

Click and hold the action
icon next to the column you want to move, and drag it to a new position.
You can click Reset to Defaults to clear your column visibility settings.

Click Apply.
The adjusted columns are displayed in the table.

Adjust columns: You can adjust the column width in the table. To adjust the width of the columns, complete the following steps:

Hover over the left or right edge of the column that you want to adjust.
You can identify the edge of the column when the mouse pointer changes to the adjust
shape. -
Click and drag the edge to adjust the width of the column.
You can click Reset Column Sizes in the Actions menu to reset the column widths.
You can click Export in the Actions menu to download the .csv file containing the data for the required event tab and time range.
