Security Dashboard in a Global Context

To navigate to the Security dashboard in Global view, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, click the Dashboard icon.

    The Network Monitoring page is displayed in the Global view.

  2. Click Security.

    The Security dashboard is displayed.

The Security planet displays the total number of blocked sessions within the last 15 minutes.

The Security dashboard displays the following:

  • Top Sites By Blocked Sessions

    • The bar chart displays the top five sites with highest number of blocked sessions in a global context in descending order. When you hover over a bar, the site name and the number of blocked sessions are displayed. The time range drop-down allows you to view and analyze historical data of blocked sessions only for periods of 3 hours, 1 day, and 7 days.

    • The line graph top five sites with highest number of blocked sessions in a global context. Each site is plotted as a separate series for comparison over time. When you hover over the graph, the timestamp, site name, number of blocked sessions are displayed. The time range drop-down allows you to view and analyze historical data of blocked sessions only for periods of 3 hours, 1 day, and 7 days.

    • To view the Sites by Blocked Sessions page, click the expand icon. This page displays a list of sites with blocked sessions, arranged in descending order. In the search bar, you can search the table using only the site name. The Time Range drop-down menu allows you access and analyze historical data of blocked sessions only for periods of Last 3 hours, Last 1 day, and Last 7 days.

  • Top Applications By Blocked Sessions

    • It displays the top five applications with highest number of blocked sessions in a global context in descending order. When you hover over a bar, the application name and the number of blocked sessions are displayed. The time range drop-down allows you to view and analyze historical data of blocked sessions only for periods of 3 hours, 1 day, and 7 days.

    • You can filter the bar chart by selecting a risk type from the drop-down list. The supported risk filters are Any, High Risk, Low Risk, Moderate Risk, Not Evaluated, Suspicious, and Trustworthy.

    • To view the Applications by Blocked Sessions page, click the expand icon. This page displays a list of applications with blocked sessions, arranged in descending order. In the search bar, you can search the table using only the application name. The Time Range drop-down menu allows you access and analyze historical data of blocked sessions only for periods of Last 3 hours, Last 1 day, and Last 7 days. You can use the quick filters to search the table based on High Risk, Low Risk, Moderate Risk, Not Evaluated, Suspicious, and Trustworthy reputation. The Table Menu icon allows you to customize and reset column sizes of the table.

      Note:

      When you click on an application, you must be able to search for sites linked to that specific application with reputation filtering. Selecting an application will display a side panel that lists all associated sites along with their reputation details.
