Subscription Keys

The Subscription Keys page details the distribution and status of subscription keys, including subscription distribution for each device type. It also provides information about the expiration of subscription keys and subscriptions.

To view the Subscription Keys table, click the menu icon in the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page. Click Manage on the Subscription Keys card.

In the Subscription Keys page, the Distribution section details the keys and subscription distribution for switch, access point, and gateways.

In the Distribution section, the Keys tab is selected by default. This tab displays the subscription key distribution for switches, access points, and gateway devices in the form of donut charts. When you hover over any donut chart, it displays active, about to expire, recently expired, or keys that have been expired for more than 90 days for that device in a color-coded format. The center of a donut chart indicates the total number of keys assigned to that device.

In the Distribution section, the Subscriptions tab displays the subscription distribution for switches, access points, and gateway devices in the form of donut charts. When you hover over any donut chart, it displays active, about to expire, recently expired, or keys that have been expired for more than 90 days for that device in a color-coded format. The center of a donut chart indicates the total number of subscriptions assigned to that device.

The legends in the Distribution section indicate the following:

• Active—Total number of keys or subscriptions that are active. A subscription is termed as Active if its expiration date is more than 90 days.

• About To Expire—Total number of keys or subscriptions that are about to expire. A subscription is termed as About To Expire if its expiration date is less than 90 days.

• Recently Expired—Total number of keys or subscriptions that have recently expired. A subscription is termed as Recently Expired if its expiration date is passed.

• Expired +90 Days—Total number of keys or subscriptions that have been expired for more than 90 days.

Column	Description
Key	Displays the name of the subscription key.
Tier	Displays the name of the subscription.
Tier Type	Displays the type of subscription.
Device Type	Displays the type of device to which the subscription and key are assigned.
Subscriptions	Displays the total number of subscribed and unsubscribed subscriptions. When you over bar chart, it indicates the number of subscribed and unsubscribed subscriptions in a color-coded format.
Subscribed Devices	Displays the number of subscribed devices. When you click on the subscribed devices count, it redirects you to the Device Inventory page with the subscribed devices filtered out.
Expiration Date	Displays the expiration date of the subscription key.
Status	Displays the subscription status of the subscription key.
HPE Order	Displays the HPE order ID of the subscription key.
Purchase Order	Displays the purchase order ID of the subscription key.
Reseller Purchase Order	Displays the reseller purchase order ID of the subscription key.

Table Filters and Search Bar

In the Subscription Keys page, you can filter keys from the Keys table depending on your criteria. You can enter keywords in the search bar to find a specific key from the Keys table. Additionally, you can use the quick filters to filter devices as per Recently Expired, About To Expire, Active, and Expired +90 Days type, or any combination of the options.

In the Subscription Keys page, click the filter icon to view the Filters pop-up window that allows you to filter keys based on the selected device type and tier type. To filter keys based on Device Type, you can set the filter criteria to Gateway, Switch, Other, and Access Point, and then click Apply. To filter keys based on Tier Type, you can set the filter criteria to Advanced, Other, and Foundation, and then click Apply.

To remove the filters from the Filters pop-up window, click Clear and then click Apply. Additionally, you can click Clear Filters in the Subscription Keys page to remove the filters.

Table Utilities

You can sort, customize the column visibility, and adjust the width of the columns displayed in the table, as required.

• To sort a column either in ascending or descending, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the column name that you wish to sort.

  2. Perform either of the following:
     
     

     • To sort in ascending order, click the up arrow icon.

     • To sort in descending order, click the down arrow icon.

     Note:

     Sorting is applicable only to Expiration Date column.

• To adjust the width of the columns, complete the following steps:

  1. Hover over the left or right edge of the column that you want to adjust.
     
     

     You can identify the edge of the column when the mouse pointer changes to the adjust shape.

  2. Click and drag the edge to adjust the width of the column.
     
     

• To customize columns, reset column sizes, and export table data, complete the following steps:

  1. Click the Table Menu icon.
     
     

     The Actions menu is displayed.

  2. Click Customize Columns.
     
     

     The Customize Columns pop-up window is displayed.

     1. Complete either or both of the following steps as required:

        • Select the column names to enable or disable the visibility of that column in the table.

        • Click and hold the action icon next to the column you wish to move, and drag it to a new position.

        • Click Apply.

        • Click Reset to Defaults to clear the column visibility settings.

     2. Click Reset Column Sizes to reset the column widths.

     3. Click Export to export the Subscription Keys table data.

Audit Trail

The Audit Trail application in the Menu page offers a valuable resource for analyzing user actions. This application allows you to easily access transaction logs from all apps that publish to it in HPE Aruba Networking Central, enabling you to gain insights and facilitate better decision-making. The following audit trail messages are supported for subscriptions and subscription keys in HPE Aruba Networking Central:

• DEVICE_SUBSCRIPTION_ASSIGNED—Indicates that subscription is assigned to a device.

• DEVICE_SUBSCRIPTION_UNASSIGNED—Indicates that subscription is unassigned from a device.
