ARP Table Test for Gateways

To perform Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) table test on a Gateway, complete the following steps:

  1. In the HPE Aruba Networking Central landing page, select a site from the Sites menu.

    Alternatively, you can click the expand icon on the Sites menu to search for a site from the list.

    The site dashboard is displayed along with site health, device, and client information.

  2. Click Network.

    The Unified Device List (UDL) view is displayed for the site.

  3. To access the troubleshooting page for a Gateway, complete one of the following steps:

    • From the Devices table in list view, click anywhere on the particular device row under Any or Gateways tab.

      The selected Gateway panel is displayed on the left.

    • From the Devices table in list view, click the particular device under the Gateways tab.

      The selected Gateway context page is displayed.

  4. Click the troubleshooting icon .

    The Troubleshoot page is displayed for the Gateway, and the Tests tab is selected by default in the left panel.

  5. Under Test, select the ARP Table radio button.

    The Source field is automatically populated with the selected Gateway name.

  6. Click Start Test.

    The Results panel on the right displays the test output.

Note:

To view the test output in the Results panel, you can click the graphical result icon for a visual representation or the CLI result icon for CLI output.

To view the table widget output, click the expand icon.

The expanded table displays the following interaction options:

  • Search— Search for any given input across all columns on all rows and displays the entries which includes the searched key.

  • Filter Icon— Opens an interface-based filter and displays the total number of entries present on a specific filter value.

  • Customize Columns icon— displays or hides the desired columns using the checkboxes.

The Results panel contains the following details:

  • Summary Icon—The following table describes the meaning of icons used in the test result.

    Failed—All requests failed.

  • Graphical Result Icon —Click this icon to view the output in graphical format as displayed in ARP Table Test Page— Gateway.

  • CLI Result Icon —Click this icon to view the test output in CLI format as displayed in ARP Table Test CLI Page— Gateway.
