Dynamic Log Collection for Events
Dynamic log collection for Events helps collect log dumps related to crash, core, and checksum error events dynamically for AP. It assists in capturing process crash event logs for gateway devices. The logs are collected and stored locally on the device. When the log collection toggle is enabled in Classic Central, the logs are listed for user access in the WebUI. However, the collection of past logs is not dependent on the toggle status. These logs can be downloaded from HPE Aruba Networking Central.
The log collection process is rate-limited for every five minutes per device and per exception type. This limitation helps prevent excessive data storage in the cluster. When multiple instances of an event occur in a span of five minutes, the log file is collected only for the first instance of the event.
