Health Metrics—Alerts

The Alerts tab provides a centralized view of all system-generated alerts across the network. It allows you to monitor the health of network components, analyze alert trends, and identify potential issues in real-time. On the Alerts tab, you can hover over the trend graphs to see the alert details for the selected time range.

In the Alerts tab, the following graphs are displayed:

  • Severity Graph—The Severity graph displays the total number of alerts at each severity level over time. The X-axis represents time (based on the selected range). The Y-axis displays the count of alerts. Hover over any point on the line to view exact counts for each severity at that timestamp.

    Severity levels are represented by different colors:

    • Critical—Issues that severely impact network performance or availability.

    • Major—Important alerts that may degrade performance but do not cause outages.

    • Minor—Non-critical alerts that require monitoring or preventive action.

    • Info—Informational messages that indicate normal system operations or changes.

  • Category Graph—The graph displays how many alerts are active for each category at any given time. Each line corresponds to a specific category, allowing you to compare trends across different systems. The categories include, Clients, System, WLAN, LAN, Cluster, Routing, Security, and WAN.

  • Priority Graph—The Priority graph displays the classification of alerts based on their operational impact or response urgency. The priorities include, Very High, High, Medium, Low, and Very Low. The X-axis displays the time and the Y-axis displays the alert count.

Active Alerts Pop-up

To view the Active Alerts pop-up window, click on any point in the Alerts Graph.

You can view the following information in the Active Alerts pop-up window:

  • Displays the exact timestamp of the data snapshot.

  • Severity Filters: Displays filter buttons for Critical, Major, Minor, and Info alerts. The count of alerts for each severity level is displayed.

  • Alerts table parameters:

    • Name—The name or type of the alert. Click on the alert name to navigate to the alert page. For more information, see Alerts Health Metrics.

    • Duration—Time elapsed since the alert was triggered.

    • Category—Displays the category of the alert.
