Health Metrics—WLAN
The WLAN tab displays a comprehensive view of wireless network performance by displaying health status, alerts, and detailed metrics such as throughput, connected clients, channel utilization and quality, noise levels, and frame errors.
Select a specific interface and radio for targeted analysis within a chosen time range to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively. For information about how to set the required time, see Setting the Time Range.

The following graphs and metrics are available on the WLAN tab:

Health—Indicates the overall WLAN health status (Good, Fair, or Poor) using color-coded bars for the selected time range.

Alerts—Displays the critical or major alerts generated during the selected time. Hovering over the bar displays alert details and clicking opens the Active Alerts side panel. For more information, see Active Alerts Pop-up.

Interface and Radio—Allows selection of specific Interface and Radio from the drop-down list for targeted analysis.

Connectivity Performance

Throughput—Shows a graph of the transmitted and received throughput on the selected radio of the gateway over the selected time.

Connected Clients—Shows the number of clients connected to the selected interface and radio. By default, the graph displays the count of the wireless clients connected to the device. Hover over the graph to view the number of clients connected to the device at a specific time.

Channel Utilization—Shows how each radio uses its channel over a selected time period, showing the percentage of time spent transmitting data, receiving data, and affected by non-Wi-Fi interference.

Channel Quality—Shows qualitative score for the selected radio to assess performance. Based on threshold conditions, good health, fair health, and poor health is indicated.

Noise Floor—Shows the level of background radio frequency noise detected on each radio over the selected time period. The status is determined based on predefined threshold conditions.

Frames—Shows the trend in the number of frames (displayed as a percent of the total number of frames) transmitted through the radio during the monitoring window selected in the time range. The graph displays the trend in data frames categorized as Errors and Drops.
Note:Frame retries and drops charts are supported for firmware version 10.4.1.8, 10.7.2 and later.
