Application Visibility

The following enhancements are added to Application Visibility:

• The summary view of the Applications planet now includes the following newly added charts:

  • Applications Usage—Displays the throughput and the number of active clients for the selected application.

    

  • Top Applications—Displays the 5 most used applications in a selected category.

• In a client context, application performance details can be viewed from a side panel. You can get insights on the LAN latency, WAN latency, and Overall latency (in milliseconds) for applications accessed by a particular client.

  

Audit Trail

The Audit Trail app is a one-stop solution to analyze actions performed by all users. You can view the transaction details (logs) of all the apps that publish to it in HPE Aruba Networking Central. The Audit Trail app also allows you to adjust the visibility of the data through options such as filtering, customizing columns, and so on, as well as exporting the data in the table. Switch Monitoring

Switch health is now displayed as poor if PoE demand exceeds the budget or if a high number of PoE MPS errors are detected on any of the interfaces. In this scenario, the PoE state will be displayed as PoE demand over budget or High PoE MPS errors in the following cards:

• Site Health

• Device Health

• Connectivity

• Connectivity Performance

• Stack

• Wired Interfaces

The PoE errors are also displayed in the Unified Device List (UDL) and the site topology view.

Alerts

The following new features and enhancements are added to Alerts:

• The following switch alerts are added to the Alert Management page:

  • Switch CPU Utilization

  • Switch Memory Utilization

  • Switch Uplink Port Status Change

• The insights below are upgraded to be visible only for applicable sites:

  • Gateway WAN Uplinks Have Higher Latency Than Comparable Peers

• In the Alert Dashboard page, the Troubleshooting card is now added for Wired Client did not Receive an IP Address from DHCP Server alert.

• Enhancement to the Expanded Insights card—You can now click on the site name to navigate to the insight card for that site. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

• Enhancement to Switch CPU Utilization and Switch Memory Utilization Alerts:

  • The top five processes that contribute to the high utilization are now displayed in the Alert Side Panel and the Root Causes tile on the Alert Dashboard.

  • History tile is now added to the Alert Dashboard.

Enhancement to Scope

Hierarchy support for net-service is enabled and works at all scopes. You can now create shared or local net service objects at any scope.

Enhancement to Search

The Search Results table of the AI Search feature now supports an Export option under the Actions menu. For more information, see Search Results and Table Utilities.

Enhancements to Device and Client Details

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports association lines that connects an AP to its connected client(s) or a client to its associated AP. The color of the dotted line represent the health of the client. For more information, see Device Details.

Enhancement to Device Health Card

Navigation is enabled to UDL page from the Device Health card. The device count (value) in any column is clickable and it hyperlinks to the UDL page. For more information, see Device Health Card.

Enhancements to Troubleshooting Tools

The HPE Aruba Networking Central UI provides Cable Test diagnostic facility for AOS-Sand AOS-CX switches to troubleshoot network and device issues efficiently.

Users can run up to 10 Remote Control sessions across devices in site context and up to 2 session per device context.

Actions button in the Troubleshooting Session Details page allows you to export the session history for the troubleshooting tests performed in the past.

Enhancements to Unified Clients List

The Associations card in the client-specific Network page now includes the Roaming Type column. For more information, see Client-Specific Roaming Card.

Navigating to Floorplan from the AP Dashboard

In HPE Aruba Networking Central, you can navigate to the floorplan from the AP dashboard. If the location data is available for an AP, then you can navigate from the AP dashboard to the floorplan, and view the location details of an AP along with it's connected clients. For more information, see Navigating to Floorplan from the AP Dashboard.

RBAC

Customers can now create custom roles with user-defined resource access restrictions in the GLCP environment.

Enhancement to Icons

Tooltips are added to actionable icons in the HPE Aruba Networking Central header, cards, pop-ups, tables, topology map, and forms.

Enhancements to Topology - Change Reference Point

Along with Aruba managed devices, now you can select third-party devices and unmanaged devices as the reference point of the topology.

Client Insights

The Client Profiler now supports the following user configured tags from the Microsoft Intune extension:

• Intune: Encrypted

• Intune: Entra ID Registered

• Intune: Jailbroken

Reports

The following new features and enhancements are added to Reports:

• Client Inventory and Resource Utilization reports are introduced under the Infrastructure category.

• Users can now optionally include the Status of the devices while generating an Inventory report.

• Users can now optionally include the device downtime details such as Device Uptime %, Time Since Last Reboot, and Last Seen details while generating a Device Uptime report.

• The following additional KPIs are added under RF Health report:

  • Top Access Points by Non-WiFi Interference

  • Top Access Points by Transmit Power Changes

  • Top Access Points by Channel Changes

• Advanced Time Slicing, CPU Utilization Threshold, and Memory Utilization Threshold options are introduced for the Resource Utilization report.

• Users can now optionally select options under Connection Type for Client Inventory report.
