Alerts

The following new features and enhancements are added to Alerts:

  • The insights below are upgraded to be visible only for applicable sites:

    • Access Point Firmware Recommendation Available

    • Enable 6GHz Radio with Optimal Bandwidth to Improve WLAN Performance

  • In the Alert Dashboard page, the Action card is now added to the following alerts:

    • MAC Authentication Server Timeout

    • ARP Broadcast Loop Detection

  • Wireless Client Connectivity Experience—The insight has been enhanced for 24-hour and seven day views. You can also now view the list of impacted clients. For more information, see Wireless Client Onboarding Experience.

  • Power-Save Recommendation for Access Points—In the Site-specific Power-save Recommendations table, the following two columns are added:

    • List of AP names in Power-Save

    • List of AP serial in Power-Save

  • High Roaming Latency alert—The Summary Card on the Alert Dashboard now displays the dynamic recommendations for root causes.

  • The following alerts are added to the Alert Management page:

    • Switch Alerts

      • High Broadcast Traffic

      • High Multicast Traffic

      • High Tx Drops

      • Port Flaps

      • PoE MPS Errors

      • PoE Denied

      • PoE Fault

Switch Monitoring

The following enhancements are introduced for switch monitoring:

  • Switch health is now displayed as poor if PoE is denied or if a PoE fault is detected on any of the interfaces. In this scenario, the PoE state will be displayed as either PoE Denied or PoE Fault in the following cards:

    • Site Health

    • Device Health

    • Connectivity

    • Connectivity Performance

    • Stack

    • Wired Interfaces

    The PoE errors are also displayed in the Unified Device List (UDL) and the site topology view.

  • The Health card of the AOS-S switch now displays the Go to Last Seen Time link for an offline device. Clicking on this link refreshes the dashboard of the switch and displays the details of the cards when the switch was last found online. For more information, see Health.

Application Visibility

The following enhancements are added to Application Visibility:

  • The Application Performance tab now includes the following newly added charts that display the LAN and WAN latency for the application:

    • Downstream (LAN) Latency chart

    • Upstream Latency chart

  • The Application Visibility dashboard now supports a new column, Country Name. The Country Name column displays the list of country names in alphabetical order, based on the destination IP address of the application or website.

  • In the Clients Details tab, you can use the name keyword to search for clients accessing an application in the List view.

    You can also search using advanced filters.

Device Health Card

Device Health Card and Expanded View of Device Health Card—The Device Health card on the Network Overview page displays the health of the devices present in the network. By default, the health status is sorted in the descending order. The highest number of a device type in poor health status are displayed first.

Enhancement to AI Search

The AI Search results table now supports the Customize Columns and Reset Column Sizes options. For more information, see Table Utilities.

Enhancement to Gateway Health Card for an Offline Gateway

When a gateway is offline, Go to Last Seen Time button is displayed. This button redirects you to the last time when the gateway was online (within the past 7 days) on the time travel widget. For more information, see the Health page.

Enhancement to Troubleshooting Tools

  • History tab is enabled for Access Points, Switches, and Gateways to track the troubleshooting tests and remote console sessions by individual session IDs for the last 7 days.

  • Restart and Locate Device is enabled for APs from Side panel (AP Details) in Unified Device List page and icon alongside the Troubleshooter button.

  • Reboot is enabled for Gateways from icon alongside the Troubleshooter button.

  • Restartand Locate Device is enabled for PVOS from icon alongside the Troubleshooter button.

Enhancement to Unified Device List

The Unified Device List (UDL) now has optional columns that display the Configuration Status and Floor of the devices in the table. For more information, see Viewing Devices in the List View.

Enhancements to Zones and Walls

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports Layers panel in Walls and Zones pages.

Profile Management

HPE Aruba Networking Central supports configuring the following profiles:

Client Insights

The Client Profiler now supports client classification and profiling based on gateway telemetry data. For more information, see Client Profiler.

Reports

The following new features and enhancements are added to Reports:

  • Under the Infrastructure report category, a new report type called RF Health report is added. The RF Health report provides details of the radios of an access point that has poor health indicators. This information assists the administrator in evaluating the deviation from the network baselines.

  • The device uptime report has a new KPI called Device Downtime Details. This KPI provides information on the percentage of downtime for all devices.

  • Under Report Schedule, Custom Range is added to create a report for a time period for the last 90 days. You can define a date interval in From and To options.

  • In the Create Report page, the Additional Filters section is added. You can create a report for specific devices using the Include Devices option in the Additional Filters section. This option is available only for the inventory report.

  • In the Create Report > Preference page, a new Frequency Band section is added that lists the radio frequencies. This option is used for the RF Health report.

Client Health Status

The client icon on the floorplan is now represented based on the health status of the client as follows:

  • Red ()—Poor

  • Orange ()—Fair

  • Green ()—Good

  • Grey()—Unknown

You can hover over the client icon to display a tool tip. The tool tips shows the status of the client and device name or MAC address of the device to which the client is connected to.

Associations Card in Unified Clients List

Unified Clients List now supports an Associations Card in the client-specific Network page. The Associations card provides a quick summary of the association events for the selected client, such as roaming and new association events, over the last 3 hours.

Gateway Clients in Unified Clients List

  • Unified Clients List now supports wired clients that are directly connected to a gateway. For more information on the list view, see Viewing Clients in List View.

  • The gateway health has two categories as Good and Unknown.

  • In the Connectivity Performance card, the Throughput rates and graph is displayed for the gateway clients. For more information on performance, see Connectivity Performance

  • In the Client details page, gateway client details are now available. For more information on viewing client-specific information, see Viewing Client Dashboard.

  • In the Connectivity card, Connection Steps are not displayed for gateways. For more information on connectivity, see Connectivity.

Mapping Profile to Scopes

When shared profiles are created in the library and mapped to the scope, the profile inherits the property of the particular scope in the hierarchy. The referred profiles can exist as committed objects or inherited objects. This process simplifies the streamlines the user workflows.
