    • Implemented alert grouping for ARP Broadcast Loop Detection alert.

    • Assoc Max Client Threshold Configuration—This insight provides information on Wi-Fi association failures observed in the network and recommends the maximum client threshold configuration to accommodate more connections. For more information, see Association Max Client Threshold Configuration.

    • Wired Client Connectivity Experience—This insight is used to assess the network performance quality. The insight detects the onboarding experience (time to connect) of wired clients on a particular network and provides an overall picture of how good or poor the overall connection experience is for various servers on their sites. For more information, see Wired Client Connectivity Experience.

    • AP Association Threshold Exceeded alert—The recommendation card for this alert now displays separate recommendations for APs running on ArubaOS 8.x and AOS-10 firmware versions.

AP Monitoring

The following enhancements are added to AP Monitoring:

  • Connectivity—The Connectivity card on the AP dashboard now supports unmanaged devices for single-hop neighbors in the connection path. Health status of an unmanaged device is always displayed as unknown (greyed) in the connection path.
    —Icon indicates an unmanaged switch or gateway in the summary view.

    —Icon indicates an unmanaged device in the expanded view.

  • Connectivity Performance—AP radio health computation now includes correlation of channel utilization and frame retires and drops metrics. For more information, see Connectivity Performance.

  • Wired Interfaces—The Wired Interfaces card includes the following updates:

    • Summary view now displays icons on the AP faceplate that indicate the neighbor type connected to a port.

    • Expanded view now provides Select Information to Display drop-down list to display the Neighbor Type icons on the AP faceplate along with the legend for the icons.

Application Visibility

The following enhancements are added to Application Visibility:

  • The Application Visibility dashboard now supports a new column, the Application Type. The Application Type column displays the application and website type:

    • Public—Indicates that all IP address used by the application is public IPv4/IPv6 address. Example: IP address - 3.2.1.1.

    • Private—Indicates that all IP address used by the application is private IPv4/IPv6 address. Example: IP address - 192.168.1.1.

    • Hybrid—Indicates that the IP address used by the application includes both public and private IP address.

    • Unknown—Indicates that the destination IP is unknown or invalid.

  • The Applications Clients panel is now enhanced as the Application Analytics panel that includes the Client Details tab and the Application Performance tab.

    • The Clients Details tab displays detailed information about the clients that are accessing the application.

    • The Application Performance tab displays the throughput and client graphs for the selected application, over the monitoring window as set in the timeline.

Virtual Machine Expanded Connectivity Card

The Connectivity card in the Virtual Machines provides an expanded view. The Expanded Connectivity card view displays a virtual representation of all the nodes in the network.

Additionally, in the expanded Connectivity card, active links between nodes are represented by solid lines, while backup links are shown by dotted lines.

Licenses Card

The Licenses card in HPE Aruba Networking Central provides an overview of license consumption of assigned and unassigned devices.

Switch Monitoring

The following enhancements are added to AOS-CX Switch Monitoring:

  • The Wired Interfaces card includes the following updates:

    • Root Bridge information is displayed on the switch faceplate. A root bridge is the central switch in STP. All other switches use it as a reference to calculate the shortest path to each segment of the network.

    • Applied VLANs are displayed on the switch faceplate and Wired Interfaces table.

  • Applied VLANs are now supported in HPE Aruba Networking Central. Applied VLAN is a VLAN which is dynamically assigned from the RADIUS server or device profile. Applied VLANs are now displayed in:

    • Wired Interfaces card: Faceplate, list view, and side panel

    • Expanded view of the VLAN Card

The following enhancements are introduced in AOS-S Switch Monitoring:

  • The expanded view of the Hardware card includes the following updates:

    • The tool tip is enhanced to include time along with the specific values.

    • If a member of the stack is down, then the card does not display the details of the CPU, Memory, Temperature, Fans, and Power Supplies.

    • The card displays the stack member ID.

  • The expanded view of the Wired Interfaces card includes the following updates:

    • The card now includes the UXI sensor legend when the port is connected to a UXI sensor.

    • The faceplate includes the stack member ID.

  • The expanded view of the Stack card displays the stack member ID.

Enhancement to Troubleshooting Tools

  • Remote Console Service is enabled for Access Points, Switches, and Gateways from site context.

  • IPv6 capability is enabled for Traceroute test for Gateways.

  • VRF parameter is enabled for Ping and Traceroute test for Switches.

Enhancement to Virtual Networks Card

The Virtual Networks card provides information about the connection status of the virtual adapters.

Enhancements in Reports

The following are the enhancements in Reports:

  • You can now preview a report by clicking Preview Report Content.

  • Click Customize Report Content to customize the KPIs in a report on the new Customize Report Content page. You can customize the report content for every widget.

  • You can now create an Interface Summary report for APs and switches.

  • The Device Uptime report now supports gateways and switches.

Enhancements to Clients Connectivity Card

The Connectivity card of a client shows the tunnel-to-gateway information for a wireless client. The link to the network tunnel is denoted by a line with dotted borders.

Zone Enhancements

If the zone name already exists, the error message below the Zone Name text box transitions from a character to information about a duplicate zone name. If the length of a zone name exceeds 32 characters, an error message appears as soon as you type an extra character. For more information, see Zones.

Moving a Floor across Buildings

HPE Aruba Networking Central allows you to move a floor across buildings available on the site. For more information, see Moving a Floor across Buildings..

Automatic Access Point Placement Images

In the Anchor Access Points Placement page, the images of the anchor APs are displayed based on their part number.

Editing Floor Properties

On the Floorplan Manager, when you click a specific floor card, the sliding bar now displays an edit icon that can be used to edit the floor properties of the selected floor.

You can edit the floor name, floor number, ceiling height, and also move the floor across buildings available on the site.

Profile Management

The following enhancements are added to Profile Management:

  • Profiles Summary—The Profile Summary page now displays profile cards classified into the following categories:

    • Security

    • System

    • VLANs & Networks

    • Wireless

  • Each profile category card displays the following information:

    • List of profile types

    • Count of profiles created for each profile type

  • Device Function Filter—The Profile Management view at Global, Site Collections, Sites, Devices, and Device Groups level allows you to filter the profile summary for a specific device type.

  • Bread Crumb for Profiles—You can now view the navigation hierarchy of the visited pages below the Profiles tab. In addition, it displays the selected device function at the end of the navigation hierarchy.

  • Profile Management now supports the Syslog Server profile. For more information, see Syslog Server Profile.

  • The AP System profile now supports 6 GHz channel for Wi-Fi 7.

  • The WLAN profile now supports the following options:

    • Miscellaneous settings includes the option to select Multi-Link Operation.

    • Bandwidth Control includes Wi-Fi 7 in the list of Wi-Fi protocols.

    • WLAN - Security configuration includes options to select Beacon Protection under Advanced settings.

  • The RF profile includes the following enhancements:

    • Maximum channel bandwidth on 6 GHz radio band now increased to 320 MHz.

    • Supports three valid 320 MHz wide channels.

  • Configuration Override—A scope can either have a shared object or local object for a specific configuration module and configuration module instance. For more information, see Overrides.

Client Insights

The following features and enhancements are added to Client Insights:

  • The HPE Aruba Networking Central application provides client classification based on system generated auto-tags for management and supervision. For more information, see Manage Tags.

Enhancements in Topology

The following are the enhancements in Reports:

  • Along with the managed devices, if there any unmanaged devices in the site, the topology sunburst now displays unmanaged devices in white color. The exact health of an unmanaged device is not displayed on sunburst.

  • If there are any VSX pairing available for AOS-CX switches, the sunburst now displays these devices adjacent to each in dotted border lines.

  • Apart from VNI and VLAN filters, now you can filter APs based on WLAN configured for the devices. You can select a specific WLAN from the WLANdrop-down list available on the Layers panel.
