Alerts

The following new features and enhancements are added to Alerts:

  • Alerts List View—If an AIOps alert is not triggered for 60 minutes, it will be automatically moved to the cleared list. This feature is now implemented for all the alerts.

  • Alerts List View—Sorting is disabled for First Occurred and Occurrences columns in the alert list view.

  • Alerts Dashboard—The clients planet in the VLAN Mismatch alert context now displays the number of clients and clients impacted on the List view page. For more information, see Alerts Dashboard.

  • VLAN Mismatch alert—The alert has been split into the following:

    • VLAN Mismatch between Switches alert—The alert is triggered when there is a VLAN mismatch between two switches.

    • VLAN Mismatch between AP and Switch alert—The alert is triggered when there is a VLAN mismatch between an AOS-CX switch and an access point.

      The alert is now enhanced to display the count of impacted clients when there is a VLAN mismatch between a switch and an access point.

  • New alert added:

    • Wi-Fi Easy Connect DoS Attack—This alert is generated in the event of a DPP DoS attack.

AOS-CX Switch Configuration Profiles

AOS-CX Switch Configuration Profiles allows you to create and manage profiles at global level and also for specific sites and devices. HPE Aruba Networking Central supports the following profiles:

Application Visibility

The following enhancements are added to the Application Visibility:

  • The Applications summary view now supports time travel for 30 days (1 month) and 90 days (3 months). For more information, see Viewing Application Visibility in Summary View.

  • The Application Analytics report is newly introduced in the Reports page. For more information, see Application Analytics Report Format.

  • A new column, Experience, is added to the Applications dashboard, which displays the connection experience of the application. The Experience column is available in the Site, as well as Client context. For more information, see Viewing Application Visibility in List View .

  • The Clients Details tab in the Application Analytics panel now includes the Application Experience column. It displays the following connection experience of the application:

    • Green—Application has good experience.

    • Yellow—Application has fair experience.

    • Red—Application has poor experience.

    • Gray—Application experience is unknown.

Insights

The following new features and enhancements are added to Insights:

  • Application Performance Analytics insight—The Impacted Applications graph now displays the chart even when the latency is below the guard rail. You can hover over the graph to the view the tooltips. For more information, see Application Performance Analytics.

  • Power Save Recommendation for Access Points insight—In the Actions - Access Points tile, users can click the View Floorplan button to view the access points on the Floorplan based on the coverage type. For more information, see Power Save Recommendation for Access Points.

  • Insights Card on the Network Overview page—Users can now click on the insight name to view the list of sites, impacted devices, and clients. For more information, see Network Overview.

  • Optimize Bandwidth on 5 GHz Radio to Improve WLAN Performance insight—The insight analyzes the 5 GHz radio bandwidth rates of different network and client setups to determine the best bandwidth for better transmission. For more information, see Optimize Bandwidth on 5 GHz Radio to Improve WLAN Performance.

  • Wired Client Connectivity Experience insight—The charts in the insight is enhanced to display the tooltip on mouse hover.

Authorization Failure Reasons for Wired Clients

Authorization failure reasons for wired clients are now displayed on the wired client Experience card. For more information, see Switch Health Metrics.

Enhancements to AP System Profile

The following new configuration parameters are added to the AP System profile:

  • Access Point Location Altitude

  • Enable Automatic AP Placement

  • Advertise AP Location

  • LACP Mode

  • Enable EAP Fragmentation

  • EAP Fragmentation MTU

Enhancement to Events Card for Site

The Attachments column in the Events card now displays PCAP, crash file, or both files along with the number of downloadable files, during a client failure event.

Enhancement to Troubleshooting Tools

The HPE Aruba Networking Central UI provides users with the following additional diagnostic tool to troubleshoot network and device issues efficiently:

  • AAA/RADIUS Server Test for Access Points

  • Users can view the additional test parameters used, such as Source SSID, Source Interface - VLAN / VRF, and so on in the results screen.

  • Users can now perform a retest by clicking the icon.

  • Remote Console Sessions can be viewed in expanded view by clicking the icon for better accessibility.

Enhancement to Gateway Cluster

You can view details about clustered gateways on the Cluster Summary Page. Cluster and Capacity cards are added.

Enhancement to Floorplan Heatmap

The signal strength of the APs and the heatmap can now displayed in less color intensity on the floorplan. By default, it is represented in monochromatic light, in case you want to change the color intensity, you can deselect the Monochromatic check-box in the Layers panel.

Enhancement to Sites Card

When navigating to the UCL page by clicking the client count (number) from the Clients column, the List view is displayed with the Connected filter selected by default.

Reports

The following new features and enhancements are added to Reports:

  • The reports are now categorized into the following categories:

    • Clients—Client Session and Client Inventory

    • Applications—Application Analytics

    • Infrastructure—Capacity Planning, Inventory, Resource Utilization, and Device Uptime

    • Network—Network Usage and RF Health

  • Application Analytics report is introduced under the Applications category.

  • Users can select only up to 10 sites while generating reports for multiple sites.

Layers Panel

The Layers panel now enables to filter the topology sunburst based on access points and unmanaged devices in the selected site. The following two check boxes are available to filter the topology:

  • Show access points

  • Show unmanaged devices at the edge
