Table 1: Resolved Issues in October 9th 2024 Release

Issue ID

Description

CNX-30977

CNX-24674

The number place of a policy did not change when re-ordered. This issue was seen on the Library > Roles & Policies tab because unused entries were not cleared in DB or cache. The fix ensures that the number changes correctly when a policy is re-ordered

CNX-56891

Creating WLAN as a local profile under Library did not create SHARE role and SHARE role-gpid and did not add the role to the sys_allow_all policy automatically. The fix ensures that the creation of WLAN local profile works as expected.

CNX-58029

Users were unable to assign VLAN range 3333 to the APs in HPE Aruba Networking Central. This issue occurred as VLAN range 3333 was reserved for Instant APs. The fix ensures that VLAN range 3333 can now be assigned to APs.

CNX-58671

A delay was observed in the loading of the Alerts table when users searched for a specific type of alert in the search bar.

CNX-62607

User was unable to assign guest VLAN profile to the AP. The issue occurred because guest is a reserved VLAN in the AP. This issue was resolved by adding a check for reserved VLANs.

CNX-76652

While creating a named VLAN at the device collection scope referenced an alias created at the global scope, the VLAN ID range was incorrectly inherited. The fix ensures that the VLAN ID range is correctly inherited.

CNX-89456

HPE Aruba Networking Central incorrectly recommended enabling 6 GHz (Wi-Fi 6E) for SSIDs without verifying that the clients supported WPA3 security.

The fix ensures that when recommending 6 GHz for open SSIDs, HPE Aruba Networking Central now considers the client's WPA3 capability information.

CNX-91804

When a policy rule containing both web category and web reputation is modified, partial data is generated from the PCM.

CNX-92764

CNX-93023

There was a mismatch in the static VLAN number displayed in the time travel and in the Alerts > Root Causes card.

CNX-95038

After updating the hostname or IP address for an AOS-S standalone or stack switch, the change was not reflecting in the device inventory page. The fix ensures that the update name is correctly.

CNX-95251

In HPE Aruba Networking Central, there was a discrepancy between the insights listed on the Network Overview page and the insights listed on the corresponding Site dashboard.

The fix ensures that Insights are properly displayed in the UI both in Network Overview and Site dashboard.

CNX-95972

CNX-47402

Error was encountered when a site was either created or updated. This issue occurred because the timezone ID payload was an overhead. The fix ensures that error is not encountered as timezone parameter is made optional data for the validation.

CNX-100530

In the Configuration > Devices > Profiles Management > System > AP System page, the AP system profile count displayed was incorrect.

CNX-101361

Users were unable to create an AP Port profile when the Inactivity Timeout was set to a default value of 15 minutes. The fix ensures that the users are able to create an AP Port profile.

CNX-82048

While assigning profiles to a scope in the Profiles > Assign Profile > Add Scope page, the check-box had to be clicked twice from the Assign to Scope drop-down list. The fix ensures that the check-box is selected with the first click.

CNX-54681

In the Reports page, users were unable to alphabetically sort the values in the Recurrence column. The fix ensures that the users are able to sort the Recurrence column.

CNX-99476

In the Network Overview page, the Device Health card did not display any details for the Access Points column.

CNX-99342

Users were able to assign Dynamic DNS profiles to APs using the HPE Aruba Networking Central UI when the DNS server fields are scoped as part of the AP Uplink profile. The fix ensures that Dynamic DNS profiles are not available for Mobility APs under Profile Management in the HPE Aruba Networking Central UI.

CNX-85330 The details of VLAN Assignment Rules was not displayed in the Edit Profile dialog. This issue was seen in a port profile that was configured at the device level. It was because of an inconsistent UI save issue. The fix ensures that the VLAN Assignment Rules displays the data.

CNX-86058

The High Roaming Latency alert was getting generated every 12 minutes instead of every 5 minutes. The fix ensures that the alert is generated evry 5 minutes.

CNX-97933

In the expanded Properties card of an AP , the Save Note and Delete Note options intermittently displayed the error, Downtime Service Error. The fix ensures that the Properties card does not display the error message.

CNX-101243

The fix ensures that the external storage configuration is pushed to the onboarded device.
