Alerts

The following features and enhancements are added to Alerts:

• Clearing Active Alerts When the Device Goes Offline—The alerts are automatically cleared when the device goes offline and the offline alert is generated. For more information, see Clearing Active Alerts When the Device Goes Offline.

  Note: Clearing of alerts when the device offline alert is triggered is not applicable for AIOps alerts.

• Adding Notes to Alerts—You can now add notes to the alerts from the Alert List View and Alert Dashboard pages. For more information, see Viewing Alert-Specific Information in List View and Alerts Dashboard.

• Origin Column—A new Origin column is added to Alerts List View table. The column displays the origin of the alert. For example, System or Custom. For more information, see Viewing Alerts in List View.

• Lag Support for Mismatch Alerts—The Actions card of the VLAN Mismatch and Port Type Mismatch alerts is now enhanced to display the lag interface information for missing VLANs.

Enhancements to Health Card

Navigation is provided from the Health card of a site context to the Alerts list. Click Show All or click any alert displayed on the Health card to navigate to the Alerts list page. For more information, see Health Card for Site.

Insights

The following features and enhancements are added to Insights:

• Locating Missing Devices—The Access Point Placement Insight is now enhanced to display the location of missing access points. For more information, see Access Point Placement Insights.

AP Monitoring

The following enhancements are added to AP Monitoring:

• AP Health Computation and Connectivity Performance Cards now include the following:

  • Further clicking the health reason hyperlink takes you to the specific Alerts page.

    

  • Further clicking the Connectivity Performance reason hyperlink takes you to the specific Alerts page.

• The AP Wired Interfaces Side Panel card now supports a hyperlink for a Neighbor that displays the connected uplink details along with device health or client experience of the neighbor. You can click the device to view the device dashboard.

  

Application Visibility

The following enhancements are added to Application Visibility:

• Application Visibility has introduced support for AOS-CX 6200, 8325, and 8360 Switch Series running a minimum version of 10.15. The supported attributes are:

  • 6200—Supports all fields except SSL attributes and URL.

  • 8325/8360—Supports well-known ports; No DPI support and no SSL attributes.

• The latency value is displayed as < 1ms on the latency charts instead of 0. For more information on latency charts, seeViewing Application Performance.

Smart Alerts for Experience

Alerts are now integrated in the Experience, Connectivity, Site Health, and Device Health cards of clients. You can click the alert to view more details. For more information on alerts, see Alerts List.

Enhancements to Gateway Configuration

The following parameters are now supported in the System Administration profile for a gateway:

• Console Access

• Login Banner

The following configuration profiles are now supported for gateways:

• DHCP Server

• DHCP Pool

Gateway Alerts

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the following alerts for gateways:

• Gateway Interface Transmit Rate

• Gateway Interface Receive Rate

• Gateway Flash Memory Usage

• Gateway Config Sync Failure

Certificate Management

The Certificate Management card in HPE Aruba Networking Central provides a streamlined interface to view, manage, and import device certificates. This feature allows administrators to upload certificates directly to devices, validate certificate details, and import certificates from Classic Central with validation checks for duplicates and expiration.

Enhancements to Gateway Monitoring

The following features and enhancements are added to gateway monitoring:

• HPE Aruba Networking Central now displays the configuration status and the timestamp of the last configuration change of a gateway in the Health card.

• For a gateway cluster, the chord diagram now displays the number of switches connected between two nodes in a cluster and their health status in a color-coded view. For more information, see Cluster.

• HPE Aruba Networking Central now displays the configuration status of a gateway in the Gateway Dashboard page.

• For a gateway cluster, the expanded view of the Devices card now displays the number of IPSec and VxLAN tunnels in the cluster for the selected time range. For more information, see Cluster.

• HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports WAN tunnels for a gateway. The WAN Tunnels card displays the number of WAN tunnels and their health status for a gateway. For more information, see WAN Tunnels.

• HPE Aruba Networking Central now updates the health status of the gateway and the network when the following alerts are generated:

  • Gateway Interface CRC Error

  • Gateway Interface Collision Error

  • Gateway Interface Giants Error

  • Gateway Interface Runts Error

  • Gateway Config Sync Failure

Enhancements to Central NAC

The following new features and enhancements are added to Central NAC:

• Central NAC now displays the clients details page when you click a client name in the NAC Clients table. The client details page lists the Authorization, Authentication, Connectivity, Classification, and NAC Events cards for each client. For more information, see Monitoring Central NAC.

• For a named MPSK identity store, you can now import and export named MPSKs by choosing the Import from CSV and Export to CSV options under the Actions drop-down in the Edit Identity Store panel. For more information, see Editing an Identity Store

• Administrators can now manage visitors access to the network and perform various actions on the visitor accounts through the Visitors card in the Central NAC configuration screen. For more information, see Configuring Visitors.

• With the new HPE Aruba Networking Onboard app, you can connect your devices to enterprise wireless networks using network profiles. For more information, seeApp-based Onboarding.

• Administrators can revoke certificates for their clients through the Authentication card in the Client Details page. For more information, see the Client Details section in Monitoring Central NAC.

Reports

The following new features and enhancements are added to Reports:

• The Application Client Details KPI is introduced for Application Analytics reports.

• Gateway support is introduced for the following Capacity Planning KPIs:

  • Top Devices by Capacity

  • Top Sites by Capacity

Switch Monitoring

The following new features and enhancements are added to Switch Monitoring:

• HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the listinterfaces API for switches. This API is used to fetch interfaces details for a switch serial number for a specific site.

• HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the following alerts for AOS-S switches:

  • Stack Topology Changed

  • Port Flaps Detected

  • Interface Fragmented Error

  • Interface Alignment Error

Enhancements to Automatic AP Planning

While performing AP automatic optimization, you can now see the AP optimization status at the floor context. A banner is displayed with the optimization status. The default AP model is now displayed as AP 365 and you can also view the signal coverage value while setting the range. For more information, see Planning Automatic Access Point Deployment.

Enhancements to Floorplan Dashboard

You can now see the client count at the floorplan dashboard. It displays the total number of clients available in the site associated with all the device types. Additionally, in the floor card and building tool tip, now you can see the total number of devices available on the floor or building respectively. For more information, see Accessing Floorplan Manager and Floorplan Dashboard.

Enhancements to Create Floor

While creating a floor, you can now change the Unit of Measure (UOM) for ceiling height and measuring floor operation from Feet to Meters. By default the UOM is set to Feet but, you can change this value to Meters at the account level in GLCP.

Enhancements to Troubleshooting Tools

Toggle icons for widget mode to cli mode is now available per test level if the troubleshooting test has both widget and visual outputs.
