Alerts

The following features and enhancements are added to Alerts:

• Alerts Summary View—The summary view provides a visual overview of alerts. You can view the chart for the following use case:

  • By Priority

• Alert Summary Card—For active alerts, you can now click on the device Serial Number, Hostname, Cluster Name, or MAC address to navigate to the corresponding monitoring page.

  Note:

  This enhancement is only applicable for maintenance alerts.

• Alert List View—The following enhancements has been made to the alert list view table:

  • The Priority column is no longer displayed by default in the table. To select or deselect the Priority column, go to Actions and select Customize Columns.

  • The Severity quick filters are no longer selected by default.

• Alert Management page—The Status quick filters are no longer selected by default.

• Added the following new alerts:

  • Transceiver Cannot be Accessed

  • Unsupported Transceiver Inserted

  • Transceiver was Disabled

  • Transceiver Configuration Failed

  • OSPF Peer is Down

  • BGP Peer is Down

AIOps

The following features and enhancements are added to AIOps:

• Roaming Recommender—The following enhancements are added to the recommender:

  • Auth Server Metrics—The graph displays the current and projected authentication count for the SSID. You can hover over the graph to view the actual values.

  • Disabling 802.11r(FT)—You can now disable 802.11r depending on client interoperability concerns and roaming failures detected on SSIDs.

• In the Alert Dashboard page, the Action card is now added to the following alerts:

  • 802.1X Server Timed Out

  • DNS Server Failed to Respond

  • DNS Server Response Delayed

• In the Alert Dashboard page, the Troubleshooting card is now added to the following alerts:

  • DNS Server Failed to Respond

  • DNS Server Response Delayed

Application Visibility

Because of a few bug fixes made to Application Visibility during this sprint, HTTP, HTTPs, and HTTP2 apps are not displayed. Also, the Other app option is not shown.

Last Updated Timestamp

The analytics displayed on the Network Overview page such as status and count on Sites and Alerts cards are refreshed every 2 to 5 minutes. The last updated timestamp is available in the expanded view of the Sites and Alerts card.

Enhancements to AP Tunnels Card

The expanded view of the AP Tunnels card now displays the following graphs under Usage:

• Packet Loss

• Latency

• Jitter

• MOS Score

Enhancements to AOS-CX Switch Routing Card

In the expanded view of the Routing card for AOS-CX switches, the new Filter Overlay Network option is now added to filter OSPF and BGP neighbors based on the overlay network. Based on the overlay network selection, the local router address is displayed.

For BGP neighbors, in addition to the local router address, the local AS is also displayed. Additionally, the address family is displayed in the Routing Information table.

Enhancements to AP Wired Interfaces Card

The connectivity performance graphs under Usage for the AP Wired Interfaces now supports Frames graph for APs running AOS-8.12.0.0 or AOS-10.7.0.0 and later versions.

Enhancements to Devices Table

Devices that are neither part of the Central 3.x group nor assigned the Device Function persona from the Device Inventory page can only be configured through Classic Central. As a result, the device names are grayed out and cannot be clicked in the Devices table.

Gateway Events

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports events for gateways that are recorded based on the status of central management, whether it is up or down.

Reports

The following new features and enhancements are added to Reports:

• The following additional KPIs are introduced for Network Usage reports:

  • Max and Average Wired Throughput

  • Max and Average Uplink Throughput

  • Top Sites by Wireless Usage

• The following additional KPIs are introduced for Client Inventory reports:

  • Client Vendor & Model or OS Summary

  • Client Vendor Summary

  • Client Model or OS Summary

  • Client Category & Function Summary

  • Client Capability Summary

• Donut-chart view is selected by default for Client Inventory and Inventory reports.

• Bar-chart view is selected by default for the Average Uptime by Device Types KPI for Device Uptime reports.

• Under Additional Filters, the Exclude Devices option is available for Resource Utilization, Device Uptime, and RF Health reports. A maximum of ten devices can be selected.

Enhancements to Asset Tagging

HPE Aruba Networking Central now allows you to sort the columns in the Asset Tag Inventory table in an ascending or descending order. For more information, see Asset Tracking.

Enhancements to Cluster Card

HPE Aruba Networking Central now features an expanded view of the Cluster card for gateway clusters. The chord diagram in the expanded view of the Cluster card in the expanded view displays the Layer 2 (L2) connections between the nodes of the cluster. When you hover over the cluster leader or a cluster member in the chord diagram, it indicates the VLAN connections with other nodes in the cluster, along with the status of the configured VLANs, which are color-coded for clarity. A VLAN mismatch between any two nodes in the cluster shows the connection line in red, while a successful VLAN configuration displays it in green. For more information, see Cluster.

Enhancements to Central NAC

The following enhancements have been added to Central NAC:

• On clicking Manage in the Central NAC card, it now displays the global dashboard for NAC Monitoring. For more information, see Accessing Central NAC.

• On clicking the Sites option in the left-hand navigation menu, it now displays the list of sites that have NAC authentications. For more information, see Monitoring Central NAC.

• The NAC Monitoring screens now shows the left-hand navigation menu to navigate across the different scope levels. For more information, see Monitoring Central NAC.

• An info text now appears when you try to change the PSK format, while editing an authentication profile. For more information, see Editing an Authentication Profile.

Enhancements to Unified Device List

The following enhancements have been added to the Unified Device List (UDL):

• The Devices table now includes a Cluster Name column. For more information, see Viewing Devices in the List View.

• The Filters pop-up now includes Cluster Name, Configuration Status, and Device Function sections. For more information see Filtering Devices in the List View.

Enhancements to Device Inventory Card

The Device Inventory Card in the Network Overview page, now contains a Site Assignment donut chart, in addition to the Device Type donut chart.

Enhancements to PSM Integration

The side panel of an installed PSM instance in HPE Aruba Networking Central now includes a Statistics tab that displays information about Distributed Services Switches (DSS) status types and the configuration status of the PSM instance.
