Insights
The following features and enhancements are added to Insights:

Access Point Placement Insights—Generates insights when access points on the floor are incorrectly positioned. When the AP placements are incorrect, users may see inaccurate information when viewing the APs on the floor plan. For more information, see Access Point Placement Insights.

AP Health Insights—Generates insights when 2.4 GHz radios on some AP models consider the channel to be fully occupied and do not transmit or receive any data. In such instances, the radio would remain stuck, unable to transmit or receive. When such a radio fails, it creates a gap in coverage for the user and disrupts client sessions. For more information, see AP Health Insights.

Switch Health Insight—The Switch Health Insight feature assists in identifying switches that are experiencing memory leaks. It also specifies details such as the process and firmware version that is causing the memory leak, so that this firmware is not recommended for any other users. For more information, see Switch Health Insight.

Improve RF Resiliency by Swapping APs Between Switches in the Stack—This insight recommends changes to AP-Stacked Switch topology to improve the resiliency in Wi-Fi coverage when switches are down. For more information, see Improve RF Resiliency by Swapping APs Between Switches in the Stack.

Coverage Hole(s) Detected graph—The Coverage Hole Optimizer is enhanced to display the network quality in terms of SNR of the impacted access points in comparison to other access points on the site. For more information, see Coverage Hole(s) Detected.

Remove Brain Icon—The Brain icon is removed from the site context page. Users can now use the Insights card on the Site Dashboard to access the insights. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

Alert Time Series for AP 802.1X Authentication Timeout alert—The alert is enhanced to display the count of impacted clients during the last 24 hours. For more information, see Alerts Dashboard.

Enhancements to Switch Configuration
You can now add ACL entries when configuring the Switch System profile. For more information, see Switch System Profile.
Application Visibility
The following enhancements are added to Application Visibility:

The Application Performance tab now includes the End to end latency (TCP) chart that displays the latency between the client and AP or the gateway over the current monitoring window. The minimum and maximum values of latency are also displayed along with the average value.

Support for North Bound API (NBAPI) is added in Application Visibility. You can perform Sort and Advanced Filtering of applications and websites using NBAPI.

Unified Clients List
The Association card in the client's Network dashboard is renamed as Roaming card. The Roaming card displays a donut chart with the wireless client's roam details and the total number of roams over the period selected in the Timeline widget.

Enhancements to AP System Profile
The Location and Contact parameters are now moved from Configuration > System > System Information profile to Configuration > System > AP System profile.

Enhancements to Unified Device List
The Classic Central Unified Device List (UDL) Radios card (formerly Wireless Summary card) in the summary view, now includes optional Transmitting and Receiving columns in the expanded Radios card view. Additionally the expanded view now supports advanced filters and keyword searches.

Enhancements to Client Tags
HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports system generated and user configured client tags from the Microsoft Intune, Ivanti Neurons, and VMWare Workspace ONE extensions.

Enhancements to Central NAC

Foundation license users cannot indicate a custom session timeout in the policy rules. A default session time of eight hours is necessary when the rule is created. In HPE Aruba Networking Central UI the session timeout attribute is a static field. For more information, see Adding a Rule.

When creating a policy, the identity store options are established based on the policy type. For more information, see Creating a Policy.

For external identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, and Okta, a Redirect URI section is available after user authentication. For more information, see Creating an Identity Store.

The Edit Identity Store panel provides an option to download the CSV template. The CSV template file provides a sample format to add MAC addresses. For more information, see Editing an Identity Store.
Enhancements to Device Inventory for Third-Party Switches
The following enhancements are added to Device Inventory for third-party switches:

The Device Inventory card on the Classic Central landing page now displays the count of the third-party switches that are part of the inventory.

The Device Inventory table now includes Device Vendor column. By default, Device Vendor is not displayed in the table. You can add it to the table using the Customize Columns option. For more information, see Table Utilities.

Filters on the Device Inventory page now includes option to filter based on Device Supplier.

Enhancements to Gateway Monitoring
The following features and enhancements are added to gateway monitoring:

You can now view the orchestrated LAN tunnels for standalone gateways. The LAN Tunnels card displays the list of LAN tunnels along with the number and health status of LAN tunnels for a gateway. The expanded view of the LAN Tunnels card displays additional tunnel details, such as tunnel name, gateway model, encapsulation type, source and destination IP address, and destination device. HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports both AP and switch details in the gateways cluster's Devices card that displays connected devices and the percentage of gateway capacity occupied by this cluster. Each tunneled device (unique MAC) consumes one resource within a cluster and counts against the cluster’s published device capacity. For more information, see Cluster.

HPE Aruba Networking Central now displays the survivability mode for IPSec LAN tunnels. For more information, see Cluster.

HPE Aruba Networking Central now extends support for GRE LAN tunnels for gateway clusters. For more information, see Cluster.

HPE Aruba Networking Central now computes the gateway device and connectivity performance health based on severity of the alert generated for the gateway device and priority of the health metric for which the alert is generated. For more information, see Health.
Enhancements to Gateway Configuration
The following features and enhancements are added to the gateway configuration:

HPE Aruba Networking Central now allows you to set multiple logging levels for a gateway, enabling you to monitor recorded logs in the Gateway System Profile for different categories. Additionally, the system's location and contact information are now displayed in the Gateway System Profile. For more information, see Gateway System Profile.

The following profiles are now supported for gateways. For more information, see Configuration Profiles.

In the Gateway Interface Configuration profile, the default configuration for an Ethernet interface is also applicable to the gateway Port profile. For more information, see Port Profile for Gateways.
Enhancements to Asset Tracking
HPE Aruba Networking Central now enables you to search for asset tags using their names, MAC addresses, and custom IDs. Additionally, you can set criteria to filter location tags based on the labels and classes associated with each asset tag. For more information, see Asset Tracking.
Enhancements to Multi-Level Hierarchy
The following features and enhancements are added to the multi-level hierarchy pages:

On the Site Collections page, the Description parameter is now optional under the Create Site Collection and Rename Site Collection side panels.

The Site Collections and Device Groups menus in the left navigation are now displayed by default and show 0 collection or 0 group when no site collections or device groups are available.
-
HPE Aruba Networking Central now dynamically updates the page context and displays the appropriate context name based on the selected scope or item. When you click any of the parent scopes (Global, Site Collections, Sites, Devices, or Device Groups) in the left navigation, the page context is set to Global with Network Overview as the context name. If you then select an item from the list view on the right—such as a specific site, device, or site collection—HPE Aruba Networking Central updates the page context to the corresponding scope and displays the selected item's name as the context name. For example, selecting a site collection from the Site Collections list on the right updates the page context to Site Collection with the selected site collection name as the context name.

The Collections drop-down list in the Move to Site Collection side panel now includes a search bar, which allows you to search for a site collection or scroll through the list to select one. On the Sites page, open the Move to Site Collection side panel from a selected site, and select the Move to an existing Site Collection radio button to access the Collections drop-down list.
Enhancements to Device Inventory and Devices Table
The following enhancements are added for APs, switches, gateways, and unstacked devices:

When a device is disassociated from a site or group using HPE GreenLake Platform (GLP), the device is not displayed under the Devices page and the relevant site context page in HPE Aruba Networking Central. However, the device continues to appear with its original site and group in Classic Central.

When a device is reprovisioned using GLP, the Devices page in HPE Aruba Networking Central does not display the device until it is reassigned. The Device Inventory page displays the device as Unassigned under the Sites column.
-
When a device subscription is removed using GLP, the device is displayed as Offline under the Devices page in HPE Aruba Networking Central.

Planning Automatic Access Point Deployment
While planning AP deployment at the floor context, along with Manual placement method, you cam also place APs on the floor through Automatic Optimization method. Automatic placement of APs on the floorplan is done based on the available APs, selected AP model, band, signal coverage, and client density.

Enhancement to Assigning Devices to a Floorplan
When you assign an AP to a site which has the same name or same MAC address of a planned AP in HPE Aruba Networking Central, the planned AP is converted into a real time AP.
