Gateway Alerts

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the following alerts for gateways:

• Gateway Power Supply Fault

• Gateway Fan Over Speed Detected

• Gateway High Temperature Detected

Interface Profile

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the Interface profile, which enables the configuration of device interfaces and the creation of Link Aggregation Groups (LAG).

DHCP Relay Profile

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the DHCP Relay profile, which enables the configuration DHCP Option 82 and DHCP Option 79.

Authentication Server Global Profile

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the Authentication Server Global profile, which which when used in conjunction with other authentication server profiles, provides a comprehensive authentication framework for devices on the network.

Switch Configurations

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the following switch configuration features, accessible under the Routing & Overlays profiles card:

• EVPN—EVPN is used as the overlay control plane to exchange Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity information between different Layer 2/3 domains.

• Community List—The community list profile allows administrators to configure a set of community attributes to apply to the routes. Community attributes help group routes with similar properties and are generally used for tagging and modifying routing policies.

• Route Leaking in VRF—The route leaking parameters are now available in the VRF profile. Route leaking is a mechanism that allows selected routes from one VRF to be shared with another. This is useful when communication between isolated VRFs is required. In Classic Central, route leaking can be configured using import and export route targets and route maps.

CrowdStrike Falcon Extension

CrowdStrike Falcon extension enhances endpoint visibility and security posture by integrating real-time threat intelligence and device data from CrowdStrike. This integration enables HPE Aruba Networking Central to dynamically classify and manage clients based on their security status and provisioning state.

Audit Trail

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports the following audit trail logs for Firmware Management:

• Upgrade Initiated

• Upgrade Successful

• Upgrade Failed

• No Response

• Upload Firmware Image

• Delete Firmware Image

Reports

The following features are added to Reports:

• The Licenses report has been introduced under the Licenses category. The report provides information on subscription licenses at the Global scope level. Under this report category, the Licenses Utilization Summary and Subscription Keys KPIs are available.

• The Access Points Port List KPI is introduced for Inventory reports.

  For more information, see Inventory Report Format.

• The Down Devices Trend KPI is introduced for Device Uptime reports.

  For more information, see Device Uptime Report Format.

• The following additional KPIs are introduced for Network Usage reports:

  • Top Wired Throughput Trend

  • Top Wired Uplink Throughput Trend

Licenses Card

The Licenses card displays a graphical representation of the licenses managed by the MSP account.

DHCPv4 Helper Address

You can now add up to 16 (sixteen) helper addresses in the DHCPv4 Helper Address field.

Enhancements to Alerts

The following enhancements are added to alerts:

• Configuring Latency Delay or Minimum Occurrences—Users can now configure the minimum number of messages and delay threshold values for the following alerts:

  • Association Delayed

  • WPA Handshake Delayed

  • 802.1X Authentication Delayed

  • MAC Authentication Delayed

  • Captive Portal Authentication Delayed

Enhancement to AOS-CX platform support

Aruba CX 6300M switch platform supports dual-mode ports which are SmartRate ports that are natively 5G-SmartRate but can be converted to 10G-SmartRate. The conversion to 10G-SmartRate will remove one 5G-SmartRate port in a port-pair. This switch platform is also stack supported.

Enhancement to App Recognition and Control Profile

HPE Aruba Networking Central now allows the configuration of switch-specific parameters in the App Recognition and Control Profile.

Enhancement to Asset Tracking

When you select an asset tag in the Asset Tag Inventory table, the corresponding side panel for the asset tag now appears on the right side of the Asset Tag Inventory table.

Enhancements to Central NAC

The following enhancements are added to Central NAC:

• The Enable MAC Caching parameter is added under the Default Policy settings in Configuring Captive Portal Profile. With this parameter, the administrator can enable or disable MAC caching for a given captive portal authentication profile.

Enhancement to Firmware Management

The following enhancements are added to Firmware Management:

• The Firmware Management application now displays the Firmware Policy Overrides page when you click on the non-zero override count in the Overrides column from the Firmware Policies page. For more information, see Editing a Firmware Policy and Managing Firmware Settings and Monitoring Upgrades .

• The Firmware Management application now enables administrators to view transaction logs in Audit Trail page. It offers a streamlined approach to tracking and auditing firmware-related activities. For more information, see Firmware Management, Creating a Firmware Policy, Editing a Firmware Policy, and Deleting a Firmware Policy.

Enhancement to Gateway Connectivity Card

HPE Aruba Networking Central now shows overlay tunnels in the connection path as lines with dotted borders on the Connectivity card. For more information, see Connectivity.

Enhancement to Gateway Monitoring Using DHCP Pools

You can now monitor DHCP pool and leases related information on the gateway dashboard from the DHCP Pools card. For more information, see DHCP Pools

Enhancements to Insights

The following feature is added to Insights:

• Switch Health Insight—The insight is now enhanced for better customer engagement by reordering columns, renaming columns, and suggesting actions to the users. For more information, see Switch Health Insight.

• Enable Wi-Fi 6 to Improve WLAN Performance Insight—The actions is introduced at the top for better customer engagement. For more information, see Enable Wi-Fi 6 to Improve WLAN Performance.

Enhancements to Location Analytics

Location Analytics now enables you to view the analytics data at the site context along with global context. You can click a specific site name from the Sites card to navigate to the context to see the Visitors, Visit Duration, and Passerby data. Alternatively, you can also click on the site location icon on the map view to navigate to the specific site context.

Additionally, search bar is now available at the Map view which enables you to search a specific site by the name of the site.

Enhancements to NTP Server Profile and Aliases

HPE Aruba Networking Central now allows you to create specific aliases, NTP Server List to be referred in an NTP server profile. Aliases will only be transmitted to the gateway if referenced within an NTP server profile.

Enhancements to Static Routing Profile and Aliases

HPE Aruba Networking Central now allows you to create specific aliases, IPv6 address to be referred in a Static Routing profile. Aliases will only be transmitted to the gateway if referenced within a static route profile.

Enhancement to Support Ping Sweep Test

Troubleshooting now supports Ping Sweep Test which is used to monitor active devices, maintaining network health, and detecting unauthorized or unknown devices.

Enhancements to Troubleshooting

The following are the enhancements to Troubleshooting:

• In the Remote Console panel, you can choose a second session from the drop-down menu. Alternatively, you can start a new session by selecting the New Session option.

• The troubleshooter icon is displayed in Clients context in addition to Devices and Site contexts.

Enhancement to Unified Device

HPE Aruba Networking Central now allows users to retrieve the device status using North Bound APIs.

VSF Site-Level Configuration Cleanup

When a stack is moved out of a site, its configuration is now automatically removed from that site. This applies to scenarios where a stack is removed from a site, moved to a different site, or deleted from a site. However, stacks that were moved or deleted prior to this change will not be cleaned up automatically and must be removed manually.
