Switch Configuration

The following new profile is added for AOS-CX switch configuration:

Loopback Profile—The Loopback Profile is a virtual interface or configuration used for internal communication within a system.

Overlay Wired Authentication

Overlay Authentication is a security mechanism that authenticates users or devices within the overlay network layer, independent of the underlying physical infrastructure. It enables identity-based access control and micro-segmentation, ensuring that only authenticated endpoints can securely access authorized services and resources over the overlay network. To configure an overlay wired authentication, see Configuring Overlay Wired Authentication.

Enhancement to AI Search

AI Search now allows users to locate an AP using its BSSID by enabling the search system to map radio MAC addresses to their corresponding APs. For more information, see Search Results.

Enhancements to Alerts Card

On expanding the Alerts card and selecting an alert to view the list of sites where the alert is active, a few parameters such as Alert Name, Site Health, Device Health, Client Health, and Location are removed from the Sites Reporting <Alert Name> table.

Enhancement to Aliases

HPE Aruba Networking Central now extends IPv6 support for Network Destination alias.

Enhancements to Application Visibility

In the Application Visibility site context, when a user selects a UCC-enabled application such as Microsoft Teams, the sidebar now displays key Unified Communications metrics for that application in the Call Session Summary Card. These include:

• Total users

• Total calls

• Call Quality

This feature gives users a quick, time-based overview of call activity directly within the Application Context view. To review more information about the Call Session Summary Card, see Viewing UCC Information in the Application Dashboard.

Also, SaaS WAN information is now available from the Application Dashboard. SaaS WAN information helps administrators quickly determine whether degraded application experience is driven by WAN conditions rather than the application itself. For more details, see Viewing SaaS WAN Information in the Application Dashboard.

Enhancements to Central NAC

The following enhancements are added to Central NAC:

• When creating a Portal Profile, Theme, Override Profile, and Custom SMS/Email messages, under the Portal Customization card, users must create an unique name for these entities to avoid an error.

• Administrators can configure an expiration policy for user-owned MPSK passwords with Central NAC subscription license. Users will receive an expiration warning and notification before the MPSK password expires. For more information, see Configuring MPSK and Creating a Named MPSK.

• Users with read-only access have restricted permissions and cannot perform certain actions. A warning message is displayed when such users attempt restricted actions. For more information, see RBAC Support.

Enhancements to Configuration Health

Enhancements to Firewall Visibility

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports Security dashboard in a device context. The Security dashboard in the List view provides a tabular representation of all the blocked session reported by devices. The Security dashboard in the Summary view provides graphical representation of all the blocked session reported by devices.

Enhancements to Gateway Configuration

The following enhancements are added to gateway configuration profiles:

• Gateway System Profile—The FIPS Compliance parameter is now added under Security section. For more information, see Gateway System Profile.

• VLAN Profile—The following parameters are now added under the Gateway Layer 3 Parameters section:

  • Broadcast Multicast Optimizations

  • Suppress ARP

  • Local Proxy ARP

  • Client Mode*

Enhancements to Managed Service Provider (MSP)

The MSP list view table is enhanced to display the Tenant ID. You can also search for a tenant using the Tenant ID in the search field.

Enhancements to Networking Copilot

The following enhancements have been added to Networking Copilot:

• Audit Trail integration enables users to query audit logs using natural language. For further details, review Networking Copilot Documentation & Search.

• The Wireless Client Capability enhancement allows users to query the capabilities of connected wireless clients, such as wireless support details and compatibility standards. For more information, see Networking Copilot QueryGen.

• Networking Copilot is now capable of multilingual support.

Enhancements to Network Overview—Cards Arrangement

The dashboard has a revised layout to support a bigger Alerts card. To achieve a unified grid structure, the layout was adjusted to allow mixed‑dimension cards to integrate seamlessly. This rearrangement improves the spatial balance between cards, reduces visual crowding where the Alerts card resides, and enhances the overall readability of critical information.

Enhancements to Radios Card

On the expanded Radios card, a new summary view is added. Here, you can channel and radio distribution for configured radio channels. For more information, see Radios in Viewing Devices in the Summary View.

Enhancement to Role-based Policies

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports configuration of rules for IPv6 address-family.

Enhancements to Switch Configuration

Enhancement to Topology Link Node View

The topology link node view now supports uplinks. Uplinks are any connection outside the selected site but connected with the devices within the selected site.

Additionally, link node speeds in the Layers panel are now grouped into categories for better readability, with each speed range displayed using distinct color codes within the topology.

Enhancements to Troubleshooting Tools

The following enhancements are added to Troubleshooting tools:

• The Live Events tab can be accessed using the Site context. Live events from all relevant devices in a site can now be streamed simultaneously.

Enhancements to Webhooks

Test button is added to the webhooks table to test the reachability of the webhook URL. For more information, see Testing the Reachability of the Webhook URL.
