Alerts and Events
The following features are added to the alerts:
Switch Alerts
The following alerts are added to Switch Alerts:

Config Out of Sync—Generates an alert when the device configuration is out of sync. For more information, see Alerts List.

Critical Port Down—Generates an alert when a port designated as Critical (from the Wired Interfaces card) has certain issues such as Admin Down, or System Down. For more information, see Alerts List and Wired Interfaces.
Gateway Alerts

DHCP Pool Consumption—Generates an alert when the number or percentage of leased IP addresses in a DHCP scope approaches or reaches capacity. It helps prevent service disruptions by warning and triggering critical actions so you can investigate leaks, shorten lease times, expand the pool, or mitigate attacks before clients fail to obtain addresses.

Configuration
Switch Configuration
The following new profiles are added for AOS-CX switch configuration:

Port Mirroring Profile—The Port Mirroring profile enables a network administrator to replicate all traffic arriving at (ingress) and/or leaving (egress) selected system interfaces. The mirrored traffic is forwarded to a designated destination where it can be captured and analyzed for monitoring, security inspection, or troubleshooting purposes.

NAE Agent and NAE Script—The Network Analytics Engine (NAE) provides a troubleshooting solution that helps monitor data from the switch database and automatically execute operations when certain conditions are met. NAE uses Python‑based scripts to define monitored data, conditions, and automated actions. Validated scripts can be turned into NAE agents, with parameters set at creation.

Central Network Access Control (NAC)
Static Tag Support
Central NAC supports static tags which are assigned by the administrator to a device, such as a MAC address. Static tags are managed in the MAC Address Store, where admins can create or select predefined tags to avoid spelling or case errors. For more information, see Static Tags.
Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
HPE GreenLake now supports custom scope groups, giving you more granular control over user role permissions in HPE Aruba Networking Central. When assigning a role, you can limit a user’s access to a specific set of Sites, Site Collections, or Device Groups. This enhancement allows you to define exactly which scopes a user can interact with, ensuring applications enforce permissions based on the scope group you configure.

Monitoring
Network Overview
The following features are added:

Client Connectivity Metrics—The Client Connectivity Metrics feature provides a comprehensive view of how clients connect to the network, showing the success rate and a step-by-step breakdown of the connectivity process. It helps identify where clients fail during association, authentication, IP assignment, or DNS resolution. For more information, see Client Connectivity Metrics.

Inventory and Subscriptions Card—The Inventory and Subscriptions card displays an overview of device distribution and subscription usage in your network. This feature helps you effectively monitor and manage your subscription usage. For more information, see Inventory and Subscriptions Card.
Global View—Network Monitoring
A new Network Monitoring
icon is added. For more information, see Icons in HPE Aruba Networking Central.
Switch Monitoring
For a switch in the Network context, from the expanded Wired Interface card, you can now designate important ports as Critical for monitoring. For more information, see Wired Interfaces.
AP Monitoring
DHCP Pools card is now added for APs. For more information, see DHCP Pools.
Networking Copilot
Users can take advantage of the 90‑Day Copilot Trial to experience advanced Networking Copilot features before committing to an upgraded license tier.

Troubleshooting
The new Live Monitoring tab introduces live streaming on managed access points enabling an in-depth look into spectrum, radio, and VPN events.

Managed Service Provider (MSP)

Alert Management—The Alert Management page provides a centralized dashboard to monitor and manage alerts across MSP and tenant environments. For more information, see Alert Management.

This section highlights enhancements made to existing features and workflows.
Enhancements to Alerts
The following enhancement is added to alerts:

Alert Threshold, Severity, and Guardrail Updates—Updated alert thresholds, severities, and guardrails to improve alert accuracy and reduce noise.

Updated Threshold Values—Alert thresholds have been refined for more accurate detection of issues.
-
Guardrails Implementation—Guardrails ensure alerts trigger only when there is user impact and suppress duplicate alerts for the same root cause.

Enhancements to Aliases
HPE Aruba Networking Central now extends support to the following aliases for Aruba gateways:

Enhancements to Application Visibility
Application Visibility now includes Quality of Experience (QoE) insights for websites, providing experience scores, QoE metrics, health trends, and experience counts. For more information, see Viewing Application Dashboard.
Users can also access latency information from both the side panel on the application dashboard and the latency charts in the Application Visibility troubleshooting page. See Application Visibility Troubleshooting for further information. This ensures latency is visible anywhere users expect it when troubleshooting applications.
Enhancements to Central NAC
The following enhancements are added to Central NAC:

When a user selects more than 50 sites along with at least one Mobile Network Operator (MNO), the system displays a warning message. This message informs the user about the potential temporary loss of functionality due to the high‑volume update. For more information, see Configuring Air Pass Profile.

When an Air Pass profile is created, users can view the site approval status along with the providers list and their approval status in a nested table layout. For more information, see Configuring Air Pass Profile.

While creating an authorization policy, the Sites drop-down list under Pre-conditions has been enhanced with a search bar. The search bar allows users to quickly search for a specific site. Users can also scroll through the list to view all available sites. For more information, see Creating a Policy.

The Skin Profiles under the Portal Customization card is renamed to Themes. For more information, see Themes.

You can now set up a terms and conditions message using the Override Profiles under Portal Customization. For more information, see Override Profiles.
Enhancements to Configuration Health
The status Synced with Limitations is renamed to Synchronized. The error categories Validation Blocker and Validation Non Blocker are renamed to Invalid Configuration and Filtered Configuration, respectively. For more information, see Configuration Health Dashboard and Configuration Health Device-Specific Error Page.
Enhancements to Events Card
Previously, the Events card displayed events from all sites and categories. Now, the card displays events that occurred in the entire account as well.

Enhancements to Firewall Visibility
The Security dashboard in Global view now provides an expanded view of Top Sites By Blocked Sessions and Top Applications By Blocked Sessions cards.

Enhancement to Firmware Management

Enhancements to Floorplan Manager
You can now deploy access points to specific zones within your floorplan. A new Covered Area option lets you select predefined zones for automatic AP placement, giving you greater control and flexibility. You can now deploy APs across the full floorplan boundary or target only the zones you choose.

Enhanced Auto AP Placement
HPE Aruba Networking Central now provides intelligent recommendations to enhance Auto AP placement when errors occur. If you are unable to complete Automatic Placement during the Place Devices workflow, the system will proactively display actionable recommendations to help improve the success of Auto AP placement. For more information, see Automatic AP Placement.
Enhancements to Gateway Configuration
The following enhancement is added to gateway configuration:

Scope Mapping Roles at Device Group—In HPE Aruba Networking Central, roles could only be mapped at Global, Site Collections, Sites, and Devices level. When you configured a WLAN, associated user roles were required to be mapped at the Global level only, even if the WLAN was scope mapped at a Device Groups level. This update now allows roles to be scoped at the Device Groups level that enhances scalability and optimizes resource efficiency. It is important to note that roles mapped to Device Groups derive policies from the Global level only. For more information, see WLAN Profile.
Enhancements to Insights
The following enhancements are added to Insights:

Radio Auto Recovery—The Radio Auto Recovery toggle button in the AP Health Insights is now enabled by default to perform radio auto recovery. Disabling the button prevents the auto recovery mechanism from automatically resetting the radio whenever it is identified in a stuck state. For more information, see AP Health Insights.

Optimize Bandwidth on 5 GHz Radio to Improve WLAN Performance Insight—The Action card is now enhanced to display the configuration details associated with the recommendation, including scope, radio profile, current settings, and recommended settings. For more information, see Optimize Bandwidth on 5 GHz Radio to Improve WLAN Performance.

Enabling 6 GHz Radio with Optimal Bandwidth to Improve WLAN Performance Insight—The Action card is now enhanced to display the radio profile associated with the scope, check the current band, review the current bandwidth settings, and apply the recommended bandwidth settings. Action Card—The Action card is now moved to the top for all the recommenders. For more information, see Accessing Insights Page.

Insights Card on the Network Overview Page—The donut chart is now removed from the Insights card on the Network Overview page. For more information, see Insights Card.
Enhancements to Location Analytics
From the Location Analytics page, when you navigate to a specific site context by either clicking the site name under the Sites card, or by clicking the site location
icon, you can now view the building information. You can view details such as the building name and the number of floors associated with that site. This view is dynamic, and the details are generated using data from the floorplan manager. To access building details, you must first assign the AP to a floor, and then place it on the floorplan. For more information on assigning devices and placing devices on the floor, see Assigning Devices to Floorplans in Floorplan Manager and Planning Access Point Deployment.
Building information will not be displayed if the floorplan management feature is not enabled.

Enhancements to Managed Service Provider (MSP)
The following enhancements are added to Managed Service Provider (MSP):

In the Tenants table, clicking a tenant row displays the tenant’s license information in the Tenant side panel. For more information, see Navigating to the Tenant's Network Overview Page.

The MSP Reports section allows you to create reports for Subscription Utilization Overview and Subscription Renewal Schedule. For more information, see Creating a Report and Report Categories and Format.

The Subscription Keys page displays information about Recently Expired and Expired +90 Days subscriptions. The subscription key status table also provides details about Subscribed Tenants and Subscriptions.
Enhancements to Notification Rules
The following enhancements are added to Notification Rules:

You can now add email addresses as notification destinations. This enhancement allows alert notifications to be sent directly to a configured list of email recipients. For more information, see Creating Notification Rules.

In the Notification Rules table, bulk enable operation is not allowed if any of the selected rules do not have a destination configured. For more information, see Viewing the Notification Rules Dashboard.

A maximum of 10 rules can be enabled or disabled in a single bulk operation.
Enhancements to Network Overview—Cards Arrangement
The dashboard has a revised layout to support a bigger Alerts card. To achieve a unified grid structure, the layout was adjusted to allow mixed‑dimension cards to integrate seamlessly. This rearrangement improves the spatial balance between cards, reduces visual crowding where the Alerts card resides, and enhances the overall readability of critical information.

VSF Profile Support
The VSF profile is now supported on the AOS-CX 4100i and 6100 Switch Series. This support allows administrators to configure the Virtual Switching Framework (VSF) profile on these platforms starting with AOS-CX firmware version 10.16.1000 or later.

Enhancement to Vendor OUI Configuration
When creating or updating a Device Identity profile, you can now configure Vendor OUI Type and Vendor OUI Value in the LLDP Vendor OUI settings.

Enhancement to Topology Link Node View
The Layers panel is now reorganized for improved clarity. It is grouped into Common Overlays and Details and Visibility. Within the Details and Visibility menu, you can now easily select filtering options to view only the data you need in the link node topology.

This enhancement gives users a clearer understanding of VLAN status across nodes and connections.
Additionally, link node speeds in the Layers panel are now grouped into categories for better readability, with each speed range displayed using distinct color codes within the topology.
