Dynamic Log Collection for Events

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports dynamic log collection for events. It helps collect log dumps related to crash, core, and checksum error events dynamically for APs. It assists in capturing process crash event logs for gateway devices. Users can download these logs from HPE Aruba Networking Central.

Application Services

HPE Aruba Networking Central supports Application Services, previously known as AirGroup. Application Services enables service discovery across modern enterprise wired and wireless networks. Using zero‑configuration networking, it allows client devices to reliably discover and access network services, even in environments with multiple VLANs and wireless access constraints.

Switch Configuration

The following new profile is added for AOS-CX switch configuration:

VSF Stack Builder—The VSF Stack Builder profile allows administrators to streamline and standardize the configuration of multiple switch stacks by leveraging a common, reusable template. This template can be applied across both global and site scopes, reducing the manual effort required to create individual stack profiles when stacks share similar properties such as platform type, links, and SKUs.

CLI Viewer Configuration

The CLI viewer provides access to both the Running and Candidate configuration of a selected device. The Running Config displays the current configuration on the AOS-CX switch, while the Candidate Config shows the configuration provisioned by HPE Aruba Networking Central.

Microsoft Azure Support

Central NAC is now supported on Microsoft Azure. This enhancement extends deployment options beyond AWS, giving customers greater flexibility to adopt Central NAC in their preferred cloud environment.

IPv6 Support

Central NAC supports only underlay and CX.

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

• HPE GreenLake now supports custom scope groups, giving you more granular control over user role permissions in HPE Aruba Networking Central. When assigning a role, you can limit a user’s access to a specific set of Sites, Site Collections, or Device Groups. This enhancement allows you to define exactly which scopes a user can interact with, ensuring applications enforce permissions based on the scope group you configure.

• RBAC restrictions are currently applied to the devices table on the Configuration page. Users will be able to see the devices based on the scope assigned.

Network Overview

The following features are added:

• Inventory and Subscriptions Card—The Inventory and Subscriptions card displays an overview of device distribution and subscription usage in your network. This feature helps you effectively monitor and manage your subscription usage. For more information, see Inventory and Subscriptions Card.

• Notification Icon—A new notification icon is added to display the count of Critical Alerts. For more information, see Icons in HPE Aruba Networking Central.

Global View—Network Monitoring

Switch Monitoring

For a switch in the Network context, from the expanded Wired Interfaces card, you can now designate important ports as Critical for monitoring. For more information, see Wired Interfaces.

AP Monitoring

DHCP Pools card is now added for APs. For more information, see DHCP Pools.

Health Metrics

Clicking on a Site Level graph of health metrics for gateway devices now shows a list of gateways and their status at a particular point of time.

Networking Copilot

The Troubleshooting Agent summarizes alerts into easy-to-understand insights. For each issue, it provides a summary, impact assessment, supporting evidence, likely root causes, and recommended actions, helping simplify troubleshooting at both the site and global levels.

Troubleshooting

The following enhancements are added to troubleshooting:

• You can now monitor spectrum statistics from access points to examine the radio frequency (RF) environment in which the Wi-Fi network is operating, identify interference and classify its sources. For more information, see Spectrum Monitoring.

• Live Connectivity Performance provides visibility into AP radio performance in access mode, updating key metrics such as noise floor, channel quality, and frame data every 5 seconds for up to 15 minutes on supported firmware. For more information, see Live Connectivity Performance.

Managed Service Provider (MSP)

The following feature is added to MSP:

• Alert Management—The Alert Management page provides a centralized dashboard to monitor and manage alerts across MSP and tenant environments. For more information, see Alert Management.

Enhancements to Alerts

The following enhancements are added to alerts:

• Hyperlink in Config Out of Sync Alert Action Card—Users can now use the Link option to navigate to the Configuration Health Dashboard to fix the errors on the device. For more information, see Alerts Dashboard.

Enhancements to Application Visibility

In the Application Visibility site context, when a user selects a UCC-enabled application such as Microsoft Teams, the sidebar now displays key Unified Communications metrics for that application in the Call Session Summary Card. These include:

• Total users

• Total calls

• Call Quality

This feature gives users a quick, time‑based overview of call activity directly within the Application Context view. To review more information about the Call Session Summary Card, see Viewing UCC Information in the Application Dashboard.

Also, SaaS WAN information is now available from the Application Dashboard. SaaS WAN information helps administrators quickly determine whether degraded application experience is driven by WAN conditions rather than the application itself. For more details, see Viewing SaaS WAN Information in the Application Dashboard.

Enhancements to Central NAC

The following enhancements are added to Central NAC:

• Static tag limits have been updated for foundation and subscription licenses. For more information, see Licensing.

• A new Networks column has been added to the Visitors page, displaying all SSIDs mapped to the selected visitor store. For more information, see Visitor Account Actions.

Enhancements to Client Connectivity Metrics Dashboard

• The Client Connectivity Metrics dashboard now supports a custom Time Range filter, with a minimum range of 30 minutes. For more information, see Time Range Filter.

• The per-attempt view has been enhanced with session logic so that repeated failed attempts by a single client do not distort the overall connection success rate.

Enhancements to Configuration Health

The status Synced with Limitations is renamed to Synchronized. The error categories Validation Blocker and Validation Non Blocker are renamed to Invalid Configuration and Filtered Configuration, respectively. Enhancements to Device Inventory

• IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are listed in the device inventory if available. For more information, see Viewing the Device Inventory Table.

• EdgeConnect devices are listed in the device inventory. Filter for them using the Gateway filter. For more information, see Filtering Devices in the Device Inventory Table.

• The following filters are now available in the device inventory:

  • Device Function Assignment is a quick filter. Possible filter values are Assigned or Unassigned.

  • Site is a traditional filter that can be used to filter devices by site.

Enhancements to Firewall Visibility

HPE Aruba Networking Central now supports Security dashboard in a client context. The Security dashboard in the List view provides a tabular representation of all the blocked session reported by clients. The Security dashboard in the Summary view provides graphical representation of all the blocked session reported by clients.

Enhancements to Gateway Configuration

The following enhancements are added to gateway configuration:

• Gateway System Profile—The following are the updates to the profile:

  • The Deny Inter User Bridging parameter is now added under the Firewall Options.

  • The GPS parameter is now removed from the profile.

Enhancements to Insights

The following enhancements are added to Insights:

• Roaming Recommender—The system now automatically hides recommender outputs from the user interface when user actions indicate that the recommendations have either been addressed or are no longer relevant. For more information, see Roaming Recommender.

The following enhancements are added to Managed Service Provider (MSP):

Enhancements to Networking Copilot

The following enhancements have been added to Networking Copilot:

• Networking Copilot now provides a prompt gallery to help users get started more quickly. For more information, refer to Networking Copilot Documentation & Search.

• The feedback workflow has been enhanced. User feedback is now recorded when users click the thumbs-up or thumbs-down icon, and a pop-up window allows them to provide more detailed comments.

• All Copilot responses now include direct links to devices and sites within result tables, making navigation and investigation more efficient.

• Roaming failure capabilities have been expanded to include detailed failure reasons. This improvement is aligned with the release of the Troubleshooting Agent, which provides concise summaries and likely root causes. Refer to Networking Copilot Troubleshooting Agent for additional details.

• Search Agent has been enhanced to improve accuracy and expand its capabilities. For instance, it can now answer questions related to device and client events, device CPU and memory utilization, and application usage per client. For further details, refer to Networking Copilot Documentation & Search.

• Networking Copilot availability has been enhanced through dynamic licensing checks and RBAC-based access without compromising control or security. For more information, see Networking Copilot Licensing.

Enhancements to Network Overview—Cards Arrangement

The dashboard has a revised layout to support a bigger Alerts card. To achieve a unified grid structure, the layout was adjusted to allow mixed‑dimension cards to integrate seamlessly. This rearrangement improves the spatial balance between cards, reduces visual crowding where the Alerts card resides, and enhances the overall readability of critical information.

Enhancements to Subscription Keys

Following are the enhancements to the Subscription Keys page:

• The Subscriptions Keys table now displays information regarding HPE order, purchase order, and reseller purchase order associated with the subscription keys.

• On the Subscription Keys page, when you click on the subscribed devices count, it redirects you to the Device Inventory page with the subscribed devices filtered out.

Enhancements to Switch Configuration

Enhancement to Topology Link Node View

The Layers panel is now reorganized for improved clarity. It is grouped into Common Overlays and Details and Visibility. Within the Details and Visibility menu, you can now easily select filtering options to view only the data you need in the link node topology.

The VLAN filter now highlights detailed VLAN states directly in the topology view, including:

In the Details and Visibility drop-down list, you can now select the different options to filter and required data in the link node topology view. The VLAN filter now displays detailed VLAN states in the topology view:

• VLAN present

• VLAN absent

• VLAN mismatch

This enhancement gives users a clearer understanding of VLAN status across nodes and connections.

Additionally, link node speeds in the Layers panel are now grouped into categories for better readability, with each speed range displayed using distinct color codes within the topology.

Enhancements to Unified Device List

• Searching for a stack member in the Unified Device List returns complete stack information. For more information, see Viewing Devices in the List View.

• Edge Platform devices are listed in the Unified Device List and can be filtered for using the Gateway filter. For more information, see Filtering Devices in the List View.

• Temporal filters are added to the Top Access Points card, Radios card, and individual WLANs in the summary view of the site-level device information. For more information, see Viewing Devices in the Summary View.

Enhancements to Webhooks

Test button is added to the webhooks table to test the reachability of the webhook URL. For more information, see Testing the Reachability of the Webhook URL.
