Apply Subscription License to the EdgeConnect Gateways

The following instructions describe how to apply the subscription license in HPE GreenLake Cloud, and then add the subscription key to the EdgeConnect gateways.

  1. Sign in to HPE GreenLake, find your Workspace and click Go to Workspace.

  2. Click Devices.

  3. Click Device Subscriptions.

  4. Click Add Device Subscription.

  5. Enter the subscription key provided in the email for your the EdgeConnect SD-WAN Foundation subscription, and click Next.

    After you add the subscription key, it appears in the Device Subscriptions list, as shown in the following example. If the key was previously added it shows how many licenses are available to use from the total count and the expiration date. Now you can add the subscription key to the EdgeConnect gateway.

  6. Click Inventory.

    As shown, the EdgeConnect gateway has no Subscription Tier assigned, and Require Subscriptions indicates there is one device that requires a subscription.

  7. Place your mouse cursor over the Require Subscriptions text to select it.

  8. Select the check box for the EdgeConnect gateway.

  9. Click Actions and select Apply Subscription from the menu.

  10. Click Apply Subscriptions.

  11. Select the subscription tier and click Apply Subscription.

  12. Click Apply.

    A notification appears and indicates that it will take some time to apply the subscription to the device. If there is more than one device, this process can take longer.

  13. View the Audit Log to verify that the subscription was applied to the EdgeConnect gateway.
