Licenses
This page lists the appliance model, serial number, appliance name, and feature licenses for the appliances selected in the appliance tree. You can add, edit, or revoke EdgeConnect (EC) licenses from an appliance.

To configure an EC-Enterprise license, go to EC-Enterprise Licenses.

To configure an EC-Metered license, go to EC-Metered Licenses.
EC-Enterprise Licenses
Configuration > Overlays & Security > Licensing > Licenses
Use this tab to view and administer licenses for all EdgeConnect appliances.
To view a summary of license information, click Summary. The table displays the following information.

| Account | The Orchestrator account that the license subscription is associated with. |
| EC License | The license subscription type. |
| Licenses Available | The number of individual appliance licenses that are not assigned to an appliance. |
| License Usage | The number of individual appliance licenses that are assigned to an appliance and in use. |
| License Count | The total number of individual appliance licenses available with the license subscription. |
| License End | The expiration date for the license subscription. |
To view license information by appliance, click Appliances. You can assign, edit, or revoke licenses for appliances on this page. You can filter the list of appliances as follows:

EdgeConnect: click to show only appliances that have an EdgeConnect license applied.

WAN Optimization: click to show only appliances that have a WAN Optimization license applied.

Advanced Security: click to show only appliances that have an advanced security license applied.
Licensing Subscription Tiers
EC-Enterprise licensing subscription tiers are Foundation, Advanced, and On Prem, and there are some optional feature add-on licenses. To access the full scope of certain features, Advanced or On-Prem licensing is needed. If you do not have the appropriate licensing to access a feature, Orchestrator indicates this using onscreen messages.
The following information outlines the features that vary by licensing tier and describes the optional feature add-on licenses.

Assign a License to an Appliance

On the Licenses tab, click Appliances.

Do one of the following:

To assign licenses to one appliance, click the edit icon next to that appliance.

To assign licenses in bulk (to all appliances in the table), click Assign Licenses to Appliances.
NOTE: To assign licenses in bulk, all appliances must be on the same software version.
The Assign Licenses to Appliances dialog box opens.

Complete the following elements as needed:
Field Description EC Select the Add/Replace check box, and then select the EC size from the menu (50 Mbps, 200 Mbps, 500 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, Unlimited, Base, or Base + Plus. WAN Optimization Select the Add/Replace check box, and then enter the amount of WAN Optimization to apply to the EC. Advanced Security To add an advanced security/DTD license, select the Add/Replace check box, and then select the type of advanced security/DTD license from the menu (EC-AS or EC-UL). Reassign Appliance to Account This option appears if you have registered a secondary Cloud Portal account. It allows you to assign appliances to either of your registered Cloud Portal accounts. -
To revoke a license from an appliance, select the Revoke check box for the license type (EC, WAN Optimization, or Advanced Security).
NOTE: If you revoke an EC license from an appliance, any WAN Optimization, advanced licenses, and legacy feature licenses are also revoked from that appliance.
NOTE: You must revoke the license from an appliance before you can RMA it. For more information on how to RMA an appliance, see RMA Wizard.

Click Apply.
EC-Metered Licenses
Configuration > Overlays & Security > Licensing > Licenses
To filter the list, click one of the following buttons:

| Bandwidth Usage Report | Display the bandwidth usage report for all appliances selected in the appliance tree. To aggregate the usage report, click Summary, Appliance, or Daily, and then select a month and year. |

NOTE: EdgeConnect stops passing traffic when a license expires.
Assign a License to an Appliance

In the appliance tree, select one or more appliances to display in the table.

Do one of the following:

Complete the following elements as needed:
Field Description EC Select the Add/Replace check box to apply the EC-metered license. WAN Optimization Select the Add/Replace check box, and then enter the amount of WAN Optimization to apply to the EC. Feature licenses 1. To add a feature license, select the Add/Replace check box.
2. If required, select a license option from the list and specify a quantity, such as amount of bandwidth. -
To revoke a license or WAN Optimization, select the Revoke check box next to the license or WAN Optimization you want to revoke.
NOTE: If you revoke an EC license from an appliance, Silver Peak will revoke the WAN Optimization license and all feature licenses from that appliance.

Click Apply.
Bandwidth Usage Report
This page lists the maximum outbound bandwidth usage, maximum inbound bandwidth usage, and WAN Optimization bandwidth for the account.
To aggregate the usage report, click Summary, Appliance, or Daily, and then select a month and year.
Feature License Usage Report
This page lists the feature license usage report for the account.
To aggregate the usage report, click Summary, Appliance, or Daily, and then select a month and year.
