DSCP Bandwidth Trends

Monitoring > Bandwidth > DSCP > Trends

Charts on the DSCP BW Trends tab show bandwidth usage for Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) classes in bits per second over time—for both LAN and WAN. By default, the charts show average bandwidth usage recorded within graphed intervals.

To display the highest (peak) bandwidth usage per DSCP class that occurred during each interval, click Peaks. This helps to detect and troubleshoot short traffic bursts of high bandwidth used by a DSCP class and ensure your Quality of Service (QoS) policies are effective and working as intended, which average bandwidth statistics might not reveal. Use peak bandwidth data to verify that your network can handle peak loads for critical traffic classes and identify if or when bandwidth exceeded expectations. In real-time mode, peaks are always shown.

You can filter the chart data by selecting a traffic type from the drop-down list: Fabric Traffic, Pass-through Shaped, Pass-through Unshaped, or All Traffic.
