Multicast Template

Use the Multicast template to configure multicast settings across multiple appliances in the SD-WAN fabric.

NOTE: The Multicast template only configures segments. You cannot configure Hello interval, Join/prune interval, or DR priority using the Multicast template. You must configure these settings on an appliance level using the Multicast feature. See Multicast.

To add a segment to the template:

  1. Click Add.

  2. Select a segment from the drop-down list. Only segments not already in the grid are available.

  3. From the Enable drop-down list, select one of the following:

    • Do not apply—(Default) Does not configure multicast for this segment. Rendezvous point IP and Allowed group fields are disabled.

    • Yes—Enables multicast on the segment. Rendezvous point IP becomes a required field.

    • No—Explicitly disables multicast on the segment.

  4. If you selected Yes, enter a valid Rendezvous point IP and optionally an Allowed group.

    NOTE: The Rendezvous point IP must be a valid IPv4 address. Allowed group must be alphanumeric characters, dots, hyphens, and underscores (up to 64 characters). No more than eight segments can be enabled.

  5. Click Done to add the segment to the grid.

To edit or delete a segment, use the Actions menu on the corresponding row.
