IP SLA Summary

The IP SLA Summary tab provides an at-a-glance view of IP SLA performance across all selected appliances. It summarizes latency, packet loss, availability, and up/down state for each monitored target, with results consolidated by appliance, interface, and target URL, so you can quickly assess the health of the destinations the IP SLA subsystem monitors.
To view or edit IP SLA rule configuration, click the IP SLA link at the top of the tab.
Time Range
Use the time-range selector at the top of the tab to control the aggregation window for the displayed statistics:
- 1hr - Aggregates statistics over the previous hour
- 4hr - Aggregates statistics over the previous 4 hours
- 1d - Aggregates statistics over the previous day
- 7d - Aggregates statistics over the previous 7 days
- Custom - Specify a start and end date/time
When you select Custom, a calendar opens so you can define an exact reporting window:
- Start and End fields - Set the beginning and end of the time range. Click a field to open the calendar picker.
- Date selection - Use the month and year navigation arrows to move between months, then click a day to set the date.
- Time selection - Set the hour and minute for the selected start and end dates so the window begins and ends at a precise time.
- Apply - Confirm your selection to refresh the table with data for the chosen range. The end date/time cannot be earlier than the start date/time, and the range cannot extend into the future.
Use the Granularity drop-down menu to set the reporting interval (for example, Hour).
Search
The Search field is located in the toolbar at the top of the tab, on the left side of the grid header directly above the table. Use it to filter the table by appliance name, interface, tunnel, or address/URL.
Table Columns

| Appliance | The EdgeConnect appliance running the IP SLA rule. Expand the appliance row to view results per source interface or tunnel and per individual target. The number in parentheses indicates the total number of monitored targets. |
| Source Interface / Tunnel | The WAN interface or tunnel used to poll the target address. Shown at the interface grouping level. |
| Address / URL | The destination IP address or URL being monitored. At the appliance or interface level, a comma-separated list of all targets is shown. Individual targets are listed in expanded child rows. |
| Latency (ms) | Average round-trip latency, in milliseconds, over the selected time range. |
| Loss % | Average packet loss percentage over the selected time range. |
| Times Down | The number of down events recorded during the selected time range. |
| Availability % | Percentage of time the target was available during the selected time range, as derived from the Availability feature. |
| Charts | Click the chart icon to display the trends chart. |
| Active | Indicates whether the IP SLA rule is currently active (Yes/No). |
| State | Current state of the target or rule. At the appliance or interface level, a summary is shown (for example, “6/6 down” means all 6 targets are down). Individual rows show Up or Down. Down states are highlighted in red; partial-down states (some but not all targets down) are highlighted in orange. |
| Up time (last) | Duration of the most recent up period. |
| Down time (last) | Duration of the most recent down period. |
Expandable Rows
The table uses a hierarchical, expandable layout:
- Appliance level - Shows aggregated statistics across all interfaces and targets for the appliance.
- Interface / Tunnel level - Expand an appliance row to see results grouped by the source interface or tunnel.
- Target level - Expand an interface row to see individual results for each monitored address or URL.
Click the expand arrow (>) next to an appliance or interface name to drill down. Use the expand/collapse-all control to open or close all rows at once.
State Indicators
- Red - All targets for the rule or interface are down (for example, “6/6 down” or “Down”).
- Orange - Some but not all targets are down (for example, “1/6 down”).
- Green / No highlight - All targets are up.
